Good compo, but PP sucks. If you want to learn how to PP B&W, shout out to Rudra. He is the B&W expert.

but it's position (at a given time) keeps changing over the year. for some months it will rise in the morning and set by the evening. I think that's in winter though. I have observed the movements of stars in india when i was probably 12, I think it was summers (may-june) when great bear was straight up between 8-9 PM.

Yes, its position will keep changing, but the lead 2 stars will always point towards the Pole star.

The waterfall highlights are all too bright. It overshadows the scene, which makes it look cluttered.
I have tried B&W many times, but somehow I can never get the contrast/brightness balance right. Same problem here.
Again Rudra is the expert here. He can tell exactly what to do!

If you want to take up star photography, its very important to learn basic astronomy.
For example, Jupiter is usually much brighter than other stars, how to capture the setting venus etc., etc.,

You could have improved the composition as well - she seems to be looking at something, it would be better to capture that part also in the image. Or else, if you want her face alone, I would say, zoom in a bit more and make her look into the camera and click...:

Old shot. Tripod/two exposure (to get that red filter effect for B&W)/multi spot. 70-200 at 115mm. f11/200. ISO 100. Hugely cropped. Damn JPEG compression!

Riju, awesome clicks. The first one is superb and looks more like a painting ( especially the mountain area)
