Indeed a very steep learning curve. Thank you, I am glad that like it . I saw his photography and fell in love with it. So different and the best part is he has managed to make a choice and walk away from the norm.

Nice shot, it does not look like ISO 1600.

I have noticed that bringing down the exposure time by increasing the ISO from 400 to 1600 actually has no major effect in the amount of noise. As you know, noise increases with exposure time, and in my camera's case I can reduce the exposure time in such low light shots to something like 1/50s and it has very less noise compared to a longer exposure in ISO200 or so.

Earlier I was reluctant to use anything above ISO400 and now I use ISO1600 a lot in these kinda shots. sometimes ISO3200 (my cam's max) also gives good shots if the exposure time is short enough. Interestingly, I don't like to use ISO800!

That's some useful gyaan. Thank you, Clever dude. One doubt, was it hand held?

Same flower as v&v posted, a different perspective. A floral abstract. I realized we're at the mercy of mother nature, then why fight it? So, I used wind here to my advantage to create the effect I wanted. I was inspired by Michael Brown (macro art in nature) to do this.
I liked the composition. Love the DOF and bokeh.

Nice silhouettes there Shamik. I would have preferred a small border. I didn't like the border there.

I find it very hard to believe that it's taken in ISO 1600! At first, i thought that it was a typo. Just kidding. Brilliant stuff Clevermax.

Nice one. The image is a bit tilted and I feel that a straightening would enhance the pic

Beautiful portrait. That girl child looks very beautiful indeed. That crown and those other decorative stuffs looks awesome

Meanwhile, I got a chance to photograph my biology teacher and his daughter during our SSLC-Residential Camp last year.
