Very nice capture, good to know that you have many more of these. PP workshop was okay, not that great. But learnt few good things. I will be happy to share them with you.

Here is a picture shot in Madival market this morning.

Agara Lake

Today I went to nearby Agara Lake with my 4 year old for father son activity and to test the Super Takumar 50mm 1.4 lens with adaptor on my Canon 500D. Needless to say I am pleased with results.
I need to learn a lot in Manual Focusing.

Here is a bumble bee ( Bhanvra) on a flower , Shutter speed = 1/400 100% crop is here. This bug was constantly buzzing around and focusing manually was challange.

And here is the original image

Any comments criticism ?

Now this set is using Sigma 70-300 APO DG in macro mode , As this is 1:2 macro no cropping is done ,
The light was low as this shoot was under a bush so shot at ISO 1600 Compare color redention to Takumar 50 F1.4

Beautiful potrait!

One from me. I'm not sure whether the hand in front is a distraction, or it adds to the pic. I liked the effect, although some have found it distracting. Any suggestions?

@pawan
I shot that with a D7000, far inferior equipment than the Mark 2. Photography is aboutt the eye first and equipment next.
Cheers,
TG.

Glad to hear that, I dont dare to take out my 4.6 year with the cam, I might return home either losing my cam or my son , good lens tests, never seen that brand with anyone so far.

Its a distraction as long its out of focus. May be a smaller aperture (f/8 or f/12) could have looked better if hand was intended to be part of the frame.

Trying to make some stars for the tree (with paper plates)

Pawan, I thought you said there is no subject around you for macros, now this is an awesome close-up ! Real ?
You dont need a high-end cam for trick photography, an old Canon 350D can do wonders

Its Christmas season again !

Cute photo. For that micro shot, I visited zoo in chilling -ve tempreture. I recently started to reading photography materials on net. And started practicing some trick as well. The only restriction is the chilling weather and no sun for last 10 days.

Yes TG, i think it is all about practice, trick and experience. I am new in DSLR. I recently started playing with my DSLR, some more practice I may be able to capture good shots.

Today I am putting my 400D on ebay, I have to sell my 6 month old 18-55 IS and 55-250 IS as well because 5D does not support EFS lens.

That toy shot is very sharp and nice, is it shot while rotating or as idle ? If you can compose it well while rotating straight, it would be worth the effort !

Its Christmas season again !

Shaju, you deserve the title "Guruji" in my case. You might not know the value of the long calls we had. Ever if I posted something good from my Canon, its from the support you guys provide me.

BTW, it was not rotating. I tried some while rotating but couldnt get a sharp one.

Your kiddy is just amzing in the santa costume, nice one and greetings material. I wonder how natural her shots are, not able to manage one from my son. Girl with cycle and cutting stars is also good, but second one does it lack a little more contrast? Just my thought.

Thanks CD. I felt the cam and hand is bit distracting but Ganesha looks crisp.

IMO, the blurred hand with the illuminated cam screen just ruins this beautiful Ganpati.
