Nice shot GD, but that's not a Chameleon. It's a Indian Garden Lizard.
Lovely shot Rudra..
Riju, liked the Beach shot. The sky was very dramatic. Do have any shots which have more sky? In my I could see even a more dramatic photograph
And thanks all who liked my photographs. Here are two more,

Shutter speed was 1/2 sec hand held, could not get the clarity I wanted to achieve.

ISO 80/ shutter speed - 1/1600/ aperture f8/ Mode - Aperture Value/ White Balance - Auto.

Exposure was for the brightest part of the frame and that's why you can see those rays. Front shadow details been pulled out a bit. Iinformation is there on RAW file.. Hence.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Thanks Kaushik, but does this lizard change colours too? Because it was greay & brown, when I spotted it in the jungle and as I approached closer, the head became red or deep maroon as you can see and a part of the body too started changing colour.

Hence I surmised that this was a Chameleon. Also a bit surprising to find a garden lizard in the wild..

Being a cold-blooded reptile it was sunbathing in the morning to get "hot & active" as it had rained the previous night.

Kaushik, I love all your images, its well composed and looks very neat and professional to me. Thanks for inspiring.

Today is my last day in Mumbai, I am missing Bangalore so badly. Now I realize how I miss my home computer and the photoshop ! I came here with so much of hope, but sprained my leg badly within the first 10 mts I touched the soil here and got few heat boils as a result of too much of non-veg food.

Yup GD, it can change colors but mostly the head part and part of the body. These are called Changeable Lizards because of that behaviour. Chameleon (also part of lizard family only, some Zoology guys, please confirm) looks bit different with more of rounded shape head. I've shot one photograph of a Chameleon once, will find it and share it. These guys are really awesome and can take the color of it's surrounding really really well. We saw the phenomena just in front of our eyes.

Rudra, thank you for the tips.
Kaushik, liked the picture of the road.
v&v, the lizard pictures are awesome.
DryIce, nice capture.

The following picture was taken in the colony swimming pool. The children were being asked to jump into the deep end in order to take away the fear of the deep. A better quality picture is here -> Better Qulity Picture
