Sure, will keep you posted. I'd suggest that you carry a longer focal length lens for this one. The narrow angle of view really helps to get this background, else it might be a little difficult. Also, it'd help if you can get the tripod. I can carry it for you .

Atleast for once I thought I should walk light, cant the 105mm on D7000 meet the requirements ? I will keep myself busy with the bugs, buds, mosquitoes and such tiny creatures when you can follow the pigeons, parrots and crows ! I dont mind bringing the tripod, but dont pass it back to me in between, I cant sprain my back, its too heavy for a walk

From a walk 2 years back !

Yes HW, I love that lens!! It shares most of its time with the camera now, than other lenses I have.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

This is a young boy who serves tea to the customers at his uncle's shop. Not an ideal life by any means, but he is among the happiest souls I have seen. Not that it shows in this picture.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Apologize for the bad picture quality. It was 6:45PM and I couldn't switch on the light.

Today evening I heard loud banging on my office window, and I was little surprised with the intensity of the banging. I turned around and stared at a huge peacock.

I took some photos, but in the dying light I had to shoot at ISO 2500. The peacock was staring at the one-side mirror and trying to fight with his imaginary rival.

It even jumped in the air and whacked at the window few times. We regularly lose a few glass panels to peacocks, so I didn't want this fight to go on for long. So I went out with the camera, I knew it will take off like a rocket once it senses me. And it did, I could barely get it in frame once it took off.

Yes buddy, its less than a 30 sec PP, reduce the noise through CS4 and you get this effect ! Best for images with trees and leaves.

His location says Guwahati, so I guess he frequents Kaziranga national park. Great capture...
