Hi guys.I have been spending a lot of my time in madikeri thanks to the ongoing construction of our homestay there.Since iam alone there i get bugged most of the times with nothing to do in the evenings or even when iam free.

Do we have any tbhp/jeepthrills members in coorg.It would be great to catch up with them and i could learn a few things about jeeps and offroading since i own an mm540dp there but know nothing much about it technically or otherwise.Initially i bought the jeep just for estate use but now i feel the desire to take it offroading.

Also,i dont really know any good jeep mechanics in madikeri.Any help in this regard too would be highly appreciated.

Hi Zahed,

I am from coorg but currently located in mumbai. Well i stay in south coorg which is like 50 kms frm mercara.
Well frankly telling you there arent much things to do to while away time so maybe just go to the neighbouring town where you may find some friends(well thats what i do when am at home).

I could have given you some contacts if you were in gonikoppa but madikeri i will find out and let you know for a mechanic.

PS: Will surely buzz you when am in town so we can meet up.

thats true.there are hardly any things to do to pass time but iam sure there must be someone atleast from there.unfortunately all my friends have moved out to cities just like you.whenever your in town just buzz me on 9886095976.will surely try to catch up

Don't know about T-BHP, but lots of jeep_thrills members are in Madikeri/Coorg.

Tom (Thomas) is one I know from sure is from mercara and has a beautiful jeep.

Sibi Paul is from coorg and very very knowledgable and skilled in jeeps 4x4's.

Dinu is another one in Polibetta

Post a message in jeep_thrills yahoo group and am sure you will get lots of help in identifying a good mechanic and also super tips in 4x4/off-roading.
