Solar ventilator for car - As seen on TV - worth it?

Reference -
solar car ventilator - Google Image Search

The AD on TV certainly makes it seem like a compelling buy. But has anyone here tried it and seen it in action?

You'd all agree that even 10 minutes in hot afternoon sun turns your car into a blast furnace. And, it takes several minutes and some fuel to cool it down. This product looks like a great idea. I just want to hear some first-hand experiences.

Jokes aside, this looks like good stuff. For people who have to keep their car in the open, this is a veritable boon! My only doubt is if one keeps the window-glass sightly open for the fan, won't theives have ideas?

Sunfilm isn't enough. The car actually heats up due to a mini-green house effect. The glass just keeps trapping in all the incident heat. Sunfilm certainly would bring down the heating rate, but they key is to ventilate.

Thanks for the Amazon link. I wouldn't give it any further thought. The product certainly does look too small in size to have any effect. What might work is a battery powered, bigger, mightier fan. But again, it may be a drain on the battery.

Hi Guyz,

I have taken this for my 800 and it WORKED. It actually kept the car cooler

Before, it was like sitting in a furnace and later it was really comfortable.

There is a beading given with it so that when you fit it on the window you can install the beading which locks in to the beading above.

It went with the car when I sold it though.

where did you buy it? How much it cost you?

Is it Indian make or one of those Chinese made???

If you have a pic of it when installed on your car, please post it here??
