Freak!! Dubai just felt some tremors. Somebody please tell me its linked to the big bang!
Steer: Detox plans will be put off if this is true.I don't want to die all sane and good!

Edit: My tremor experience. Three friends sitting on the couch and talking. The couch starts shaking all of a sudden and i think it is Thouseef who is shaking his legs. He is the biggest of the three. Couple of seconds later i realize he is not moving a bit and then i hear the sound tick tick tick tick tick. I think it is the couch legs creaking. I am wrong again. I realize it is the keys on the wall cabinet making love to the glass door!!! (Guess they wanted to end it all deep!!!). Thouseef couldn't have managed that... all of us put together couldn't have managed that!

Freak its an earthquake. Everybody runs to the corridor. More anxious faces come out of other morbid doors. Every body is worried. I am elated. That was my first time and i just survived an earthquake!

I guess she gave up her life to save the world or something.

Big Bang: First protons fired, world still safe

Big Bang: First protons fired, world still safe

Scientists at the world's largest particle collider have fired the first protons into a 17-mile-long tunnel in science's next great step to understand the makeup of the universe.

Project leader Lyn Evans gave the go-ahead to send the protons into the accelerator below the Swiss-French border early Wednesday.

The $3.8 billion Large Hadron Collider was under construction since 2003. Scientists hope it will provide the necessary power to smash the components of atoms so that they can see how they are made.

The startup has been eagerly awaited by 9,000 physicists around the world who will conduct experiments here.

Some skeptics have said they fear the collisions of protons could eventually imperil Earth. (read on)..

Now that the world has not ended, I can go off topic. :-)

Was one of the last scenes from Terminator 3 shot in this tunnel by any chance?

The below image looks so familiar.

Signs of doomsday?
Very minor earthquake and tremors at UAE.

Coincidence? Or?

well for one they just sent the particles around the tunnel for now - nothing was collided yet and certainly not at 14 TeV for quite some time (maybe october) and in all certainty its not going to be immediately evident (for unknown number of years) even if we did unleash irreversible micro blackholes.
Lets just hope we enjoy some new discoveries on higgs bosons or god particles or something useful to mankind out of these experiments
I am sure we will have plenty of years to enjoy applications of the discoveries they make, before the blackhole we created grows large enough and came back to suck us in
