You can go to Methi's on M.G road. Excellent VFM veg food. Their Raj Bhog Thali is supposed to be quite good.

Another option is Chilly's right next to them. Even they are good.

If your looking close to home then go to Minverva/Chutney and have a sumptious thali. Matter closed

Cookie Man at GVK had a really good offer.

A bill of Rs 350 gets you a complimentary tin of cookies. Good looking tin and 200gms of cookies free.

Nice!

Do check out the Biscotti's as well.

P.S: He is contemplating of inviting all regular contributors of this thread to one of the most happening "twin parties" in town

Thanks Avinash for this.

I will certainly continue to post my experiences on this thread.

BTW- Guys, can we have a party on coming Wednesday.? Is yes, then where. I am given an understanding that few Hydeez will start their annual vacation from this weekend.

Let the comments start pouring in.

@Silverwood----congrats! As regards 'where', I'd prefer some place this side of the Greenwich Meridian.

Everything looks good, though I might like to differ on the Chinese selections-Chinese Pavilion & Grand Wok are miles ahead of all these listings, these two are easily the best in town today I guess imho.

Indian Art Cafe/ Inorbit Mall

Here is a nice diversion from routine stuff - On L3 (below food court) with a good view to Durgam cheru (no open seating though), is south indian bistro doing some successful and not so successful experiments at fusion.

what works
Desi canapes - on soft dosa base, coconut and spinach toppings - absolutely ravishing - we always end of ordering 2 helpings and then have very little space left for others

Swiss Appams (salsa appam with swiss fondue - not for the faint hearted) & chettinadu appam ( coconut appams with chettinadu fondue)

Chetiiandu Idly

what doesnt work
- Most drinks except coffee - mixing jaljeera with Mojito doesnt work
- Dravidian Baked risottoes

Damages
- Usually will spend 1000 for 3/4 people with tips etc.

Others
- have an electronic canvas inside to playaround and create stupid things.
- the red bull is a hit with kids - also has a great view to Christmas tree

Their menu etc are available online Indian Art Cafe - The world's first south indian bistro at Hyderabad, India

Cheers

+1. CP is consistent and Grand Wok is not. But, both are good.

I would also recommend Bowl O China at Himayathnagar. Been there thrice and each time the taste was very good

Alex's, Nanking and N.S are absolute crap. All of them are third rate eateries. Pardon my bluntness

Wow, you reminded me of one of my favorite places once upon a time. Btw, if you dont want to stand and eat at that bandhi, they have a restuarant just a little ahead of Ramkrishna Theatre. More than Chicken 65 their Chicken Fry is awesome.

Roghni Keema Matar - medium spicy , less mutton and more of matar
Butter Naan - good
Tandoor roti - soft
Lucknow mutton dum Briyani - Yummy, mild flavoured, every well cooked and tender .
