I ordered 1 NV and one Veg combo meal. The spread was decent for 127 Rs priced combo.

1, Chicken hot-n-sour Soup
2, Chicken chilly wet
3, Chicken fried rice
4, Egg noodles &
5, Chicken Manchurian.

The staff is very courteous, but took almost half an hour to serve.
Visited Shangai Chef last night to use up 3 vouchers ( Rs.129/Voucher) purchased on the same website

The menu was almost identical and taste was very good. Atleast after the car wash debacle this was worth the money spent.

The fixed food platter is more than sufficient to take care of your hunger. I finished mine but wifey and mom left most of it as quantity for them was a lot ( they are poor eaters, i say)

If this deal gets extended beyond Jan 10th, will buy some more vouchers.

Btw, they have Rs.300 ( Chicken)/Rs.400 (Seafood) combo of 4 fixed items excluding taxes. The price seems to be worth it as their one seafood item is minimum Rs.230 if you order by ala-carte

A few days back had some snacks at tbhpian Rajesh Rawal house and loved their prawns, it was quite good

Update :
The website is SnapDeal.com is now amongst the Top 100 websites in India as per Alexa Ranking and not www.snapmydeal.com

Announcing the start of "HITEX Restaurant".

It is located on the left side adjoining the entry gate of HITEX.

A few select people have been invited by HITEX management to the restaurant on 26-Dec-2010 for dinner to taste the epicurean delights.

The feeling after reading the invite is that it may be a tad high on prices.

Anyone who has visited or is visiting the place in near future may please inform whether the place is worth it or can be given a miss.

@SILVERWOOD: There's a whole thread dedicated to the debacle of the Rs. 99 voucher. And I've also bought 2 vouchers, yet to use them.

+1. CP is consistent and Grand Wok is not. But, both are good.

I would also recommend Bowl O China at Himayathnagar. Been there thrice and each time the taste was very good

Alex's, Nanking and N.S are absolute crap. All of them are third rate eateries. Pardon my bluntness

Wow, you reminded me of one of my favorite places once upon a time. Btw, if you dont want to stand and eat at that bandhi, they have a restuarant just a little ahead of Ramkrishna Theatre. More than Chicken 65 their Chicken Fry is awesome.

Its ok. The ones i started quoting were for driving and eat in spots like N.s Maharaja etc.

And yes i have been to that place near Ramakrishna theater as well.

A few more additions to the list

Palace Heights,abids
Indie Joes (is good if you are into pasta's and salads)
Blue fox (all the branches have good food)

and there is new place opening up in GVK ONE its called KHANSAAB and
the food there is awesome according to a friend of mine!

Its ambience is like a under water aquarium and it has private dining rooms and etc.

The food though is good and the pricing is tad on the higher side (atleast to a fresh recruit )

I had been to Abyss restaurant yesterday for Lunch buffet.(SILVERWOOD+8)

The only one USP of this restaurant is its ambience, although its overdone.

The service is pathetic, probably they are understaffed. They had assigned only one waiter to our table for serving snacks.

Dont want to comment anything on the food, not at all worth for a buffet worth Rs 418.Will visit this restaurant if the rates are slashed by 50%

Ohk.. I have been there for dinner silverwood and the ala carte had a varied menu, and as i said the pricing was a tad high.. i think that takes the flavour off the food .

I had been to Shanghai chef @ Madhapur with my entire team for Lunch. (Combo Meal) (SILVERWOOD+46)

NV combo

Chicken Hot-n-Sour soup.-Great taste
Chicken chilly-Crispy, very well cooked.
Chicken hakka noodles-Average taste
Chicken fried rice-Was good.
Schezwan chicken-This was the star dish.

The combo was pretty decent for Rs 110 +4% vat.

Shanghai chef-Please buy some crockery, you had run out of soup bowls.

Harry's Diner on Rd#1 (above Chinese Pavillion) is a must visit if you like pastas & Salads. I stay very close by thus order frequently from there. Yesterday for the first time ordered their 'Basil Pesto Pasta' - One of the best i've had for a very long time. They have great Salads, Sandwiches & Burgers as well. Not the cheapest place, but definately worth the price IMO.
They use only olive oil for cooking & their French Fries are not fried.... they are baked!! Talk about trying to make junk food healthy(ier)!!
Sadly, don't see much crowd there at all... dosen't look like they are doing too well and will be sad to see such a nice place shut shop :(
Request you all to check it out and spread the word around (if you like the place..... I'm sure you will!!!)

re: A Guide: Eating out in Hyderabad/Secunderabad/Cyberabad

Been to "Cakes n Coffee" at Eswarpuri colony (Sainikpuri) yesterday after reading a couple of favourable reviews on the internet. First thing I noticed is the presence of crew from a magazine doing photoshoot. Good for the owners, because without such publicity it is hard to notice this cafe/restaurant which is well inside sainikpuri, on Hi-tension wire road connecting Sainikpuri and A.S.Rao.Nagar.

Apart from the regular fare expected (coffees, smoothies, juices, confectioneries, small eats, etc.) they also serve hot kebabs (veg and non-veg), pizzas, and burgers. They also offer continental breakfast and brunch. The decor is nicely done.

We (4 adults + 1 child) ordered the following:

Chicken Nawabi Kebab (12 Pcs)- Rs. 120 - very good
Paneer Tikka (12 Pcs)- Rs. 90 - OK
Chicken, Tomato and Capsicum Pizza - Rs. 100 - OK, but the topping is too spicy
Grilled sandwich (with Chicken tikka) - Rs. 100 - OK
Garlic bread - Rs. 50 - OK
Mockdetails - 5 No.s - Rs. 50-60 each - OK to Good
Chocolate Mousse - Rs. 40 - Good

Overall quality and service is good. Due to use of glass walls and open spaces, this feels like Al fresco. In summary, good addition to this sleepy suburb of sainikpuri.

I saw this joint few months ago while passing the high tension road.I was going from sainikpuri to Yapral. The outlook seems nice,i think they have used cane furniture if i am not wrong.

Will visit this joint over this weekend.
