i second that! The biryani is awesome, but while ordering insist on the "Andhra" style biryani. If my memory is right its called "chicken pulav" i think...its better than kritunga biryani.

Has anyone been to 36-BBQ at Jubilee Hills or SD Road? I bieleve they have similar style like Barbeque Nation with grills on your table and buffet dinner.

Any reviews on it?

Same concept but not as good as bbqn, both in terms of service and quality.

Been to the jubilee hills one. The starters are not as good but IMO, the buffet is much better than the one at BBQ Nation.

I have been to both their outlets. I am glad to note you avoided 36-BBQ. This same group also owns 45-JH. It is indeed surprising that despite dishing out pathetic food with horrible service and an attitude reeking with snobbish arrogance, they have not only managed to survive till now but managed to expand. If I were you, I will avoid them like plague.

Sunshine Kebabs in my opinion is just not worth it. I had visited them when they had newly started at Madhapur and found them to be claiming to serve Turkish but the taste was no where near Turkish. In fact, the Hummus that I make at home (using a recipe downloaded from the net) is more authentic in taste than what they serve. I would sum them up as an "Australian take on Turkish food".

TCR (Chocolate Room) is expanding right, left and centre. Shows how profitable the sweet business is! I have never tried them out though the dishes do look yummy on the menu. IMO, try them when you can find some deal or coupon or offer on the net / pamphlet / shop or if you really want to indulge on your kids and allow them a nice chocolate time.

Sizzling Grillz @ kothaguda junction now also has a "on the table BBQ grill" and buffet. Mind it that the grill has a very limited menu i.e. 2 veg and 2 non veg items. Apart from that there is 1 veg and 1 non veg starter served on the plate. The buffet there was also quite good and I found the ambiance and setting to be quite cozy and decent for a family lunch/dinner. The price during lunch was around 350-400(approx) where as for dinner its 572 including taxes.

re: A Guide: Eating out in Hyderabad/Secunderabad/Cyberabad

Last evening we dined at "Tadka" at Ohri's Banjara. Been here after almost 2 years and wasnt disappointed. The ambience was nice, not too crowded and service was quick. Except that Maitre'd was clueless of the dishes and when enquired is reading the same stuff written in menu

I tested him and asked if Burra Kebab is boneless. He said " Sir, we serve only boneless mutton". Burra kebab is always with bone similar to Mutton Roganjosh which is never boneless.

We ordered the following :-

1. Some Hara Bara Kebab (It was excellent)- (Rs.190)

2. Mutton Burra Kebab (Rs. 270)

I thought this was best only at Karim's at Jama Masjid. But, not anymore. This was equally if not better than Karims. Perfectly char-coaled, juicy and fiberous tasting meat snack that I enjoyed in a long time.

Will go back only for this dish. Yummy !!!

3. Two Mocktails (Some fancy names were very good and refreshing) : Rs.160 each

4. American Corn Pancake in mixed gravy (Rs.190)

It was average and looked like a pancake stuffed with cheese and corn

5. Cheese Masala Kulchas and Plain Naans

6. Pan Mutton Biryani (Rs.270) : Very good but, not as good as the pan biryani from Angeethi which is wifey's favorite

There's a special offer for Hydeez though. Paresh is a part of Hydeez Group and has extended the special offer for hydeez during his renovation period.
