Coming from Punjagutta Nagarjuna Circle, come towards Jubilee Hills on Road No. 2 of Banjara Hills, cross Chutneys on your right, cross Almond House on your left, do not turn right towards Srinagar Colony at the traffic signal but continue straight, cross TV9 on your left, immediately after that take a left turn and do not continue straight on the narrow road next to the Mosque towards Jubilee Hills. The left turn leads you to and is known as Road No. 3 of Banjara Hills. You will see Hyderabad House on your left. Cross HH and you will see Shadab on your right. Enjoy and do not forget to post your review!!!

Thanks for the detailed route guys! Will drop in a visit next month when I return. And, the review will definitely be there

There is another Nanking outlet on Rd # 2, Banjara Hills. It is just after the Green Mosque, on the road towards KBR Park and Jubilee Hills. To be precise, it is about 4 or 5 shops after Anu Wines that comes immediately after the Green Mosque.

@NoRules

God bless you my foodie friend!!!

So it will be Paradise, Green Bawarchi and Shadab in rotation for me then! Will probably also add Sarvi and Prince into the equation.

OT:- I just realized I have been spending almost Rs.1000-1200/- per month on biryani itself

Btw, I do not dare ordering for double masala at Green Bawarchi anymore. Tried once and my mouth was on fire, and sweating like a pig! The regular fare is perfect for me it seems.

Paradise, Shadab, Sarvi, Prince, Bahar & Alpha are the top six biryani outlets (not counting Jewel of Nizam Restaurant at Hotel Golkonda as their biryani costs 600/-+).

Mangoes : Came across this advertisement in a newspaper today

Buy the coupon on Groupon.com for Melangee (Hotel Golconda) for their buffet dinner costing Rs.399. You may get a chance to taste some of their famed dishes ( if they are part of the buffet menu)

@mobike

My agenda for 3rd week of June is all set - Shadab, Sarvi, Bahar and Prince

I am craving for some biryani since the last 2 weeks, to the point that I am even feeling restless

Note to self:- Must return to Hyd asap!

Btw, anyone tried out the buffet at Rush Sports Bar & Cafe, Madhapur? On the few occasions that I have been there, I have tried their Tandoori Veg & Non-Veg Platter and they were totally worth the price. I quite like their overall ambience, service. Doesn't get too crowded as well.

re: A Guide: Eating out in Hyderabad/Secunderabad/Cyberabad

Hi guys has anyone tasted Arabian dishes from Four Seasons at Toli Chowki?

When I was working in Saudi I developed this addiction to bland and tasty

arabian food, mandi, kebsa, madghut hashi etc., When I was in Hyderabad in

December 2010 we went to Four Seasons at Toli Chowki because my Hyderabadi

friend had told me that that's the only restaurant in Hyderabad which serves

authentic Arabian cuisine. Is it true? Is there any other restaurant which serves

authentic Arabian in Hyderabad. Any reviews of Four Seasons?

Srikanth, Been to PH about 6 months back. I too was a huge fan of them but, over the years their food taste has become average and their pricing exorbitant.

Only reason to go there is for their excellent ambience and great view of Hyderabad through the glass windows

There are plenty of new-age restuarants that have opened up while your away that have better ambience/food for half the price.

Four Seasons is a mixed platter restuarant. Not famous for anything. There was a time it was supposed to be famous for biryani, then its mix non veg platter ( costing a bomb, I think 1K or more than that)

Iam not a fan of arabic food for that particular reason. Bland and tasteless

4 Seasons is a good place to start for arabic cuisine in Hyderabad. But, there is another couple of places to check out too

1. Kibbeh ( high end restuarant, Begumpet)
2. All Seasons ( mid priced, Rd.No 3, Banjara Hills

Added to the list provided by Avi, you can also try various other outlets
1. Waves, Hotel Sohail, Malakpet (Serves authentic Arabian Dishes like Laham Mandi, Khabsa & a variety of Arabian dishes)
2. Arabian Nights (Yousuf Tekdi)
3. There's a small non-descript outlet called as "Arabian something" after you cross Rumaan Hotel at Tolichowki. It is housed before the Ford Showroom. Heard good reviews about his Hummus, Shawarma and Khabsa.

Waves/Sohail I thought was famous for Biryani and Mughlai dishes. Nice to know they serve that as well. It's been a long time deferring a meal at Waves though i pass them quite often

Btw, Mediterreanen or something where we had lunch last time which closed down now was also good in arabic dishes. I liked the Hummus with Pita bread there and that different chicken dish with a small round mound of rice ( dont know that it was called)

P.S: Btw, do you remember the main chef had gone for some marriage and some junior cooked the dishes. What a professional joint it was

Thanks mobike008 and traveloholic for your suggestions. Will surely try these restaurants when I visit Hyderabad next time.

By the way instant dislike of any food (especially bland and tasteless; like Arabian or Mediterranean non-veg delicacies or Jain veg delicacies) is a bad strategy. What these types of food offer is these preserve the inherent taste of the food items cooked without masking them with heavy masala which you might like instantly.

If you try it second and third time you might appreciate what I am saying.

By the way we Indians also hold a firm belief that only people on earth who know how to cook delicious food are us without even tasting any other type of food (This applies especially to places where they use heavy masala like A.P and Kerala).
