Can be true Avi, most of the time I am around some breakfast joint or the other.

The main reason being, lunch is usually a packed tiffin box from home. Mom says "Afternoon's only home made food"

ps: taking out my family for another breakfast bienge this sunday, any new suggestions?

That time of the year when my north Indian genes are crying out for Sarson Ka Saag and Makke ki Roti (and an added dollop of Jaggery) - any suggestions for tried-tested joints I can check out from folks on this thread?

@adzegeek, would suggest you try Reshmi's at Parklane. They serve one of the best Sarson Da Saag and Makke Di Roti.

If you work in Madhapur/ Hi Tech city

Check out Asal dhaba.
Rs 40, you are served 2 maki ki roti's and one bowl of sarson ka saag.
Some onions and pickle extra.
A dash of butter on top of everything

Its quite nice.
Just had it for lunch.

This thali is not spicy.
The only thing spicy there IMO is the green chutney.

Lol, you make it sound almost like Lucknow ka Badaa Imambada.

Basically that elevator has entries from both the ends. You would have seen something similar at the Shamshabad airport with those glass elevators.

Imran you liked Ista, eh! I somehow always find that place a waste of good money. The food is nothing to write home about IMHO. At least not something that can cause 800 bucks in a buffet. Buffets by their very nature are supposed to be extremely cheap (volume game).

By the way, at the Fisherman's fare, I felt that some stuff is pretty regular but some others are worth giving a shot at. Sarma Beyati was one such although the Singaporean Squid was not so great. The best part of that place is if you go and order regular veg fare like Daal and Paneer and stuff like that. Just order and see.

Was thinking of having some good veg stuff for a long time but been avoiding it being a pure non-veggie, I always found it very hard to even think about Veg Stuff. But, Veg does taste good too.

Wanted to have some tasty Chole-Bhature for a long time and my search landed me at Haridwar Hotel, Kothi. They serve some of the best chole-bhatures in the town people. Loved the aroma and the taste of Chole-Bhature.

Haridwar Hotel is very near to the Womens College, near Kothi Bus Stop.

When you are driving from Kothi towards Chaderghat, you will come across Gokul Chat. A few meters ahead of Gokul Chat, you will come across a X-Roads. As soon as you cross the X-Roads, you will find Hotel Haridwar on the right side. Bang opposite to Bomanna Brothers or Similar Kinds.

Ventured out for lunch today with a colleague @ office, walked into Haveli and found it to be full till the brim, then moved onto Aura, which was closed for Maintenance. This lead us to Banannaa Leaaff (that's how it was spelt there, previously Banannaa Leaaff was called as Malgudi).

Had Kheema Biryani at Banannaa Leaaff. Man, its aweome, worth the try. A bit on the spicier side as it represents the southern indian food culture, hence more of spices. But overall, a good meal, especially for the minced meat lovers.
