Been longing for Dhaba Food again. Would love to visit Meera Devi Dhaba again. Anyone game for a dhaba meet?

I attended a family party over there.. it's decent food and crowded though over weekends... I guess this is one of best place to eat in that area..

Yes, it is LPG based and the refills are easily available down the lane from Delhi Mithai in Ameerpet apart from other places in the city.

Kashimir Food Festival in Ohri's Tadka until Feb-end.

Apart from Meat Roganjosh, never tried any Kashmiri food, would be interesting to do that.

Chinese New Year Festival at Aroma's of China until Feb-end

It's been ages since i had good chinese grub. Hence, this too sounds interesting

Anyone has feedback on pricing for above, makes my life easier. You see building a case for my sunday ritual dinner out with wifey

Had a lot of wazwan (Kashmiri) cuisine in Srinagar especially Rishtae / Gushtaba / Kashmiri Naan and Roganjosh.

Original Wazwan dishes are made with Lamb and not Goat so may not find flavour with lot of us. Also the food is slightly sweeter in taste.

We had all this at the best restaurant in Srinagar - Mughal Darbar but somehow didn't enjoy the taste. So try it out to know more.

AFAIK, Lamb and Goat are the same. Lamb is younger, tender and much better in taste than a goat.

What is different is Lamb/Goat AND Sheep

God, I am talking so in detail being a veggie at home

Avi, I think you got it the other way around. Lamb is a young sheep. (Checked Wikipedia just now )

As already stated by Ardy, Lamb / Sheep and Goat are totally different. Over here goat is sold under the name of Mutton. Lamb is very rare to find and is only available in abundance in colder climes of Northern and NE-India. Also another difference is that lamb meat is more fibrous

You do find Lamd here in hyderabad. Most of the eateries avoid serving lamb as its way too small and would surely make a good dent in their pocket.

Another reason not many serve is that it is hard to digest and may leave people with upset stomachs

Tender Lamb Roasted Overnight, was available in Ohri's Gufa at Basheerbagh, a bit on the expensive side. 750/- per plate!!

I still remember the lovely Biryani I had a couple of years ago. The biryani was stuffed inside a tender lamb, which was cooked as a whole. Wish someone hosts a party soon with a dish of that sort.

You gave me a good idea. Now I have find who can sell me a tender lamb near our farm house!! I remember my dad explaining something like this he had in my cousin's farm house.

@Ardy, I am not going to read those links. I am scared too. Btw, do you know i never went 50 meters any meat shop in my life till now. Hard to bieleve, knowing my passion for food...huh?

I had this dish in Ohris. Its called Raan-e-Shaan or something and its soaked in rum overnight to give it perfect marination before it's presented for us to take it apart.
