Fully agree! Minced meat will be difficult to distinguish.

These are chickens that die during transportation and cost about 1/3rd to a live bird. There was an article in DC about this.
I was wondering why Non-Veg dishes were so less priced while going through this thread, is this the reason?

There's a Swagath de Royal branch near Kothaguda X roads in Kondapur. It's a little far (3 kms via shortest route) but you get shared autos easily enough most times of the day. I believe it falls in the same price category.

Even their biryani is bland and tasteless as well. It doesn't hold a candle to even Hyderabad House take-away biryani, forget the likes of Astoria. 4Seasons Tolichowki is the most-hyped biryani outlet I've come across so far.

+1 on this Prashant Bhai. The correct name of 4Seasons biriyani should be '4Seasons special media hyped biriyani'

The mutton biriyani at Shah Ghouse is awesome, the best Ive had it in recent times.Very reasonably priced though.

4 seasons is a total rip off,the prices there are just unbelievable at the worst of ambiences, which leaves one wondering what the hell are you paying for?

They are now opening up in Bangalore on 100ft road, indiranagar!I dont even want to think what the right hand-side of their bangalore menu card is going to look like!

Had dinner last night with family at Nanking CR, Banjarahills:

Manchow soup (2/4) - 130/- very good; Loose fried prawns - 205/- Bland but kids loved it; Chicken 65 - 200/- super spicy and good; Mixed fried rice - 90/- very good; Chilly chicken gravy - 180/- good; mineral water - 23 Rs each.

Total bill for 2 adults and 2 children - 884/-

Foody (Ph no. - 23334443) is now delivering Nanking food. They charge 10% of the bill as delivery charges.

One good feature is that the billing for Bakery and Fresh Non-veg Section is within the section area itself. So if you are only buying Fish. You don't need to wait in the regular crowd.

I somehow hate this as this has to be left to the sole discretion of the person shopping there. It's the same case with More. Super Store at Kothapet. It has a seperate Fresh Non-Veg Section, which has a billing counter. Everytime I go for my monthly shopping, I have to make the billing twice. Once for the Non-Veg and other for the Groceries. If I am paying by cash, I don't really mind but what if I am paying by Card/Sodexo?

They had a card machine at both the Non-Veg counter and the Bakery Counter.

My bill was under 100 for the fish, and less than 150 for the bakery stuff. So paid using cash.
But with the cost of some fishes and meats so high am sure they are going to accept cards right there.

If you think Mohini's Chicken Tikka is delicious...then you should try Papaji ka Chicken Tikka Masala. Several times better.

They charging Rs.300 for a chicken dish?....How can they? Even the most upmarket restuarants dont have such prices.

Thank god for this update. I will never step into their establishment ever again ( been there only twice though) and never had their biryani yet.

Is this the same Blues-later-renamed-as-Spice Touch you talking about? Did they change their name again?

I have been there couple of times but did not have dinner. The starters were just about average.
