Thank god for this update. I will never step into their establishment ever again ( been there only twice though) and never had their biryani yet.

You are right mobike008, 4 season's pricing is ridiculous. I don't think they will get repeat customers.

Apart from their delicous Kulfi. I would go there for something else too

Our cook made a vanishing act yesterday. Seizing the opportunity, got some home delivery done after long from " Deccan Spice"

1/2 Tandoori Chicken ( Rs.140)
Reshmi Chicken Tikka ( Rs.180)

Both items were excellent.....

Minimum deliverybill is Rs.250 for free home delivery. Unlike the snooty Clay Pot Chicken wala.....Btw, the best part is you call them second time...just tell them phone number and home address pops up on their screen. Dont have to go through the pain of telling where they need to deliver, landmarks..etc

Seems there is a possibility of enjoying a Kannadiga meal tonight. Jowhar Roti Meal...

I understood the place you are talking. Not worth it at all!

BTW I had Subway dinner yesterday! I guess no need to tell what I had and its calorie count. But still let me tell all that it was 97% fat free

re: A Guide: Eating out in Hyderabad/Secunderabad/Cyberabad

Had dinner at "Hotel Punjab" in Abids

We had the special punjabi thali for Rs.90 and it comes with tomato soup, small bowl of veg pulao etc. Choice of either one butter nan or 2 rotis and some good curries like Paneer butter masala, chole, aloo mutter, yellow dal etc.

Except for tomato soup which was horrible. Rest of the food was good just that some dishes were spicy even for my palate.

They hiked this thali price from Rs.70 to Rs.90. Now their executive thali is priced at Rs.70

Alright to go to this place for a change.

One good feature is that the billing for Bakery and Fresh Non-veg Section is within the section area itself. So if you are only buying Fish. You don't need to wait in the regular crowd.

If I am paying by cash, I don't really mind but what if I am paying by Card/Sodexo?
I went to Ashoka Metro Mall several times earlier to visit the iStore and also the Subway and almost always mine used to be the only car in the parking area and when I went there today morning to shop at the new Spar super market, the parking was more than half full, all customers of Spar. May be Spar will put life back into the dead mall.

Regarding the separate billing, I bought chicken in the fresh non-veg section and also bread in the bakery and paid for it along with my other purchases at the regular counter. So I guess there is no need to do the billing twice.

OT:

Had lunch at Parivaar restaurant, AS Rao Nagar yesterday. Nice huge place. Lot of seating area. Ate Roti, Chicken Chatpat @ Rs.165.00 (nice and spicy, decent portion size), Chicken biryani @ Rs.159.00 (could have been more spicy and less greasy but chicken was tender and good. Portion size could have been bigger)

Total cost of lunch for 2 - Rs.440.00

A few weeks ago there was a family function ( birthday party) that I attended there. The food was just about average. Nothing to write home about.

1) Bahar : I picked up 1 Plate Double Mutton Double Masala Biryani (10 pieces mutton) and 1 Plate Chicken Double Masala Biryani (Half Chicken) from Bahar for Friday Lunch. Each plate cost me 130. 5 of us ate to our heart's content and rest was taken away by our maid and as per her it was sufficient for her and her husband for dinner.

2) Zafraan Exotica : Service Tax has been imposed and is billable at 5.15 % of 60 % of the bill amount which means 3.09 %. Please recheck your bill for the same.

3) Saahib Sindh Sultan : I had dinner there yesterday. Had gone specially for their "atta chicken". One full chicken cut into 4 pieces perfectly marinated and wrapped in a banana leaf and covered with atta and cooked in a tandoor. Amazing dish! Costed 395 + 10 % Service Charge + 3.09 % Service Tax + 14.5 % VAT.

Kakori Kebab were melt in the mouth type but extreme clove flavoured which masked the genuine taste. Worth it if clove is reduced.

Any reason why the time is not mentioned?

Jokes apart, nice way to describe the experience with ratings et.all.

Btw, you went to Banne Nawab and ate all the wrong things ( chicken), they specialize more on mutton.

You should try their Haleem, Patthar Ka Ghosth and a minced kebab.

Yeah, when I was seeing the menu, I felt like that. Next time atleast minced Kebab is sure and now that Ramzaan is not far, will also try the Haleem.
Actually went to 4 seasons there but all table was occupied and we had to wait for atleast half-an-hour. So chose to go here.
