Join the bandwagon. Banne Nawab got my business a couple of times due to exact same reason. Now, looking at their increased and exorbitant pricing. Will rather go to BW directly

re: A Guide: Eating out in Hyderabad/Secunderabad/Cyberabad

I would rather stay away from Haleem's served all over the city during off season as the real fun of having haleem is only during the Ramadaan month. I am already drooling over the list of outlets I would be blessing this time.

Foodie Update: Deccan Paradise is closed for good. Been to Shahghouse, Shahali Banda the last week to get a few jumbo pack biryani's for a small get together at home. Was surprised to see that the outlet which opened to give Shahghouse a run for money is closed down as of now. It has much to do with the recent change in political scenario in Old City during the recent days.

After trying out various recipes / methods, I have finally decided Banne Nawab biryani masala is the best for cooking chicken / mutton biryani. A little less spicy to my taste but the best biryani I cooked was using Banne nawab's masalas and some of my own variations.

I am eagerly looking forward for this Haleem Season and Haleem Meet. The season isin't too far away, the season to gorge on delicious food items.

The list of MUST VISIT Haleem Outlets listed below.
1. Shahdab, Charminar
2. Hyline, King Kothi
3. Shah Ghouse, Shah Ali Banda
4. Sarvi, Mehdipatnam
5. 555, Masab Tank
6. Cafe Bahar, Hyderguda
7. City Light Hotel, R. P. Road
8. Hotel Sohail, Malakpet

I am wondering, will I be able to beat the last year's feat?
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...ml#post2063007

I shall be there full fledged old city style on my new Bajaj Super. It was fun riding a scooter during school days and I wish to relive those days again. Avi Bhai, should know what "Old City Style of Scooter Riding" is?

Old City Style of Scooter Riding:
1. Legs spead vast
2. Left foot dangling at the edge of the floor pad, with just 2 millimeter's on the floor pad.
3. Shoulders raised
4. Hands stiff and straight
5. No Brakes please
6. No Indicators/Hand Signals required

Hope, it gets ready by then. Not much to do except some cosmetic changes.

The Banne Nawab masalas are available at all the popular food stores. I usually buy them at Spar or Heritage Fresh, Banjara Hills. They have a whole range of mixes / masalas. I have only used the biryani masala so far.

Enjoyed an unexpected indulgent lunch at "Hotel Astoria"

A chicken biryani enjoyed with a friend is priceless. The quantity was so much that it was more than sufficient for 2 people. It was fresh, hot, really long grained and our friendly waiter got extra double masala on the side with succelent chicken that we gorged down with Thumbs-up.

Total Damages : Rs.160

Ah! And, I have already factored in additional 15 mins on treadmill this evening

This is not fair. You are making me feel hungry (and that too just after I finished my lunch of Daal Makhani and Methi Chicken with Rotis).

Now that we are on the subject of Biryanis, 2 questions :

(1) Has anyone tried the fish biryani at Bahar? If yes, what is the opinion?

(2) For Nikhil (others are also welcome to post their lists) : I would love to have your list of Top 10 Biryani Restaurants of Hyderabad & Secunderabad (take aways only) and yes, I want a separate list for Chicken and a separate list for Mutton.

If I get my answers before dinner, it is a biryani dinner for me tonight!

re: A Guide: Eating out in Hyderabad/Secunderabad/Cyberabad

Hyderabad Raj Bhawan Road Somajiguda will soon see a new "TAKE-AWAY" joint named "ZURNA" which will serve "Authentic Hyderabadi Cuisine".

The joint will open in one of the shops on the main road in Divya Shakthi Complex which also houses Peddler's Point, Sparkles Dry Cleaners, Vodaphone among others.

Saw the board already installed and some carpenters working inside the shop.

Since R B Road is an absolute NO PARKING area, the legal parking is behind the shop inside the complex. Parking on the road will be inviting a wheel lock on the vehicle by the Traffic Police.

Need Advice. A Team Lunch outing with 2 Americans. What would be the best place close to Madhapur? No Westin or Novotel. Any other place, that would suit their taste buds too?

Presume your company is footing the bill. Then dont look further than N-Grill at Jubilee Hills or take them to Fusion 9 at Rd No. 1, Banjara Hills

They will like the continental food.

Oh Boy that was Quick. N-Grill near Croma? Sounds good. Giving them a call to book a table.

EDIT: No Buffet. Ala Cate for a team of 30 would be crazy. Heading for tried and trusted Daspalla.

It's there on my HDFC World Bank Card forever ( ..I think). But, that alone will not induce me to visit them. Ultimately, you just save only 15% of the total 20%-25% taxes...

There is no Divya Shakthi Apartments on Raj Bhawan Road. They are here at Greenlands opposite my office.

The apartments on Raj Bhawan Road are called Shanthi Shikhara Apartments. Sorry for the error.
