Thanks a million FordManchau and Silverwood for introducing me to this awesome haleem. (I hope it tastes the same when I go back tomorrow evening) I did not care it was not 'Mutton' haleem.
Beared with your longish post and loved your child like excitement
Yesterday passed by Royal Haleem Centre and almost stopped before I realised it's thursday.
Will pick up two plates today evening while going home.
I don't think they have Mutton Haleem with them. They have specifically mentioned "Chicken".
Will pick the Mutton one also , if they have it. I am not sure.

Haleem lovers might look down upon adding the gravy just like how I look down upon people using mirchi ka salan in Hydie biryani but this was good, really good.

I am not exaggerating this:

Here you go. From Panjagutta go towards Road no 3, turn left at Hyderabad house(opp. Qmart building). As soon as you take left the 2nd counter on the right side would be Royal Haleem.
The Blue red patch on the pic, is where it is.

Nice. I cross them each day while returning from work and there are atleast 20-30 waiters wearing red uniforms spread outside that complex and jumping in front of cars and waving like maniacs trying to attract customers. Had a close call when one guy jumped in front of my car. I stopped and blasted him.

In my books, till date the best haleem was Shadaab, Shahghouse and Sarvi. In that order....

Yesterday after the live concert at HRC, we ( Vnabhi, Milecruncher) had a late night meal at Niagara, Chaderghat

Kadai Mutton
Hot Rotis

Mutton had thick gravy comprising of tomatos, onions and green chillies and meat was melt in mouth types. Again a fabulous dish from Niagara. This is one consistent and VFM place.

Rs.200 ( inclusive of Rs.20 tip)

Hi mobike008.
Do you recommend any chicken dishes @Niagara. This place is relatively close to my home (about 6 - 7kms) , may be i can try some based on your recommendations.

Sorry to say, I dont recall having Chicken there anytime.

Though one of my favorite dish at their Hyderguda outlet was Ginger Chicken ( they used to serve 1/2 and Full). That outlet is now closed and taken over by a different establishment.

Go with the popular dishes like Kadia Chicken, Chicken Mughlai, Butter Chicken and Ginger Chicken with their huge roti's which is really tasty when HOT. Or, even better trust the Maitre'd ( I know him since Hyderguda outlet days and before that too) and he can suggest something good like he suggested Kadia Mutton to us last night.

For a totally rustic experience, sit in groundfloor. If going with family you can visit the AC section on the 1st floor.

This is original Naigara outlet and is only one which survived. Other branches shut shop after their quality went down the drain.

Btw, this particular outlet's biryani is also good.

ENJOY !!!

Zaitoon was near Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital, Mehdipatnam. It has been there for a long time and never had a chance to visit them due to lack of parking place at the outlet. Looks like the outlet is closed for good. Shall reconfirm once again today. BTW, to give you the exact location of it, it is before Minerva Sweets/Univercell/Big C outlets, that you see when you are heading from Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital towards Mehdipatnam. I guess, this map should give you a brief idea about the location.

If you are planning for Arabian Food, then try this new place, Al-Faham which opened at Masab Tank. This restaurant is housed in a 3 Star Hotel before Dine Hill, Masab Tank. I still have to go there, hence cannot really comment on it.

You can also try Hotel Sohail Waves at Malakpet, they also serve good Arabian Food. Had their Laham Mandi about a month back and it was tasty.

Attaboy, sounds too good to be true. Should give it a shot soon.

BTW, how come you forgot MC? He lives closest to that place.

You'll have to buy the coupons first. The coupons are on sale only for a specific period and you can visit at your convenience before they expire.

MC left out because like me, he too is a dinner guy !!!
