I have had the "Burmese Biryani" there. Its quite ok with new flavour n spices though nothing earthshattering abt it.
What I crave for on hydbad are street corner momo stands, like those in Delhi and the northeast. Currently you have to go to chinese restaurants or mall foodcourts to have momos where you pay anything between Rs 80 to 200 for a plate of 5 or 6 pieces.

Visit Penderghast Road off Minister Road and right outside Foodworld there is one guy making yummy Chicken,Veg and Prawn Momo's.

I think each plate of 5 or 6 pieces costs in region of Rs.40-Rs.60

Best Chole ( Bathura is good at most places) is found ONLY at Havmore in Basheerbagh along with those vinegar dipped onions. Heaven !!!

The jet black color, texture, spice, masalas deeply seeping into the soft chole cannot be found anywhere ( including the land of chole's, New Delhi as recently confirmed again by my mom)

The second best and rather very close was at Hyd_Traveller's home which was almost in lines of Havmore

Chole-Bhature : Bikanervala in Banjara Hills is a good alternative since he makes Pindi-Chole.

Momos : Aromas of China is the only and best place. All the street vendors and carts are a pathetic attempt at momos. Even in Delhi the quality has gone down. A good momo should have a very fine and thin skin which sadly is not available anymore anywhere.

Foodworld guy is pretty decent, I've had it a few times.

During my recent trip to Bangalore. I tasted Momos at Brigade Road. This guy has a shop right next to Rex theatre and it was the BEST momo's i ever had.

Is it in front of foodworld or heritage fresh?i was a regular at fresh (his momos were authentic and yumm,not sure if its the same guy shifted to foodworld)but when I went there a couple of weeks back the stand was all dismantled and the frankie fellow told me momo guys have stopped.

I found the chole bhature at kailash parbat (jubilee hills)also quite good iirc priced at 90rs plus tax.

Beg to differ, Sitaram IN Paharganj area of delhi has been one of the best Chola bhatura joints which is way better than Havmore.

Also, one served in Ohri's opp to paradise hotel is a must avoid, the per plate price of this joint is going up and quality is going the other direction.

Another good outlet is Chacha's in Kamla Nagar near North Campus. Nehru Place also serves some decent Chole Bature.
