Some observations by a Tbhp wife!!

A day in the life of a Team BHP wife
Hi All
I am the better half (I wonder which that is) of Lukeskywalker.I am Bored Betty or should I call myself Carburettor Cauvery.
I am told every self respecting team BHPian has a proud possession called a nick.
Have also been given to understand that nick has nothing to do with a cut or scrape but is the life blood and identity : and the more cars wheels and car parts in it the more you groove. So I guess Carburettor Cauvery or CC for short is groovy enough

Here's how the day starts
Wake up call
Luke yelling out at 7am "CC check out this baby. She looks so hot and sleek.
I wake up in alarm because I am neither, I hope that i havent been traded away for a svelter model and phew! its only the red car he's staring at on the TBhp site.

Investment Plan
Luke:"CC Its always prudent to plan for the future"
Me"Yes yes I totally agree.I think ICICI was calling about some gold investment plan
Luke:No, No Honey I mean how about extended warranty on the new car
Me:Sigh I should have known

Best friends
Luke:Guess whom I am meeting today
ME: Who who?
Luke :Hot wheels,Happy wheels;dashboard 29 and mudslinger
ME:What about spareparts and spark plug:do they exist too?

Pillow talk
Luke:Now about the new 14"...
ME:Honey err what is it
Luke:I just checked on the opinion poll of TBhp and they said a 15"upgrade with Michelin would be great for the Optra
Me:Just when I thought...oh never mind

I truly give up.I try to comprehend but the ways seem strange. But one thing I cant fault is that TBhp types I actually met in gatherings are too cool.Way to go TBhp!

Regards,
CC.

Excellent writing! Unfortunately, thats the fate of the not so automobile inclined spouses of TBHPians.

My wife has given up on chit chat and discusses cars instead when we are on a drive!

I can imagine. I still remember GTO, during our first team-bhp trip to Mahabaleshwar loudly calling out "REVVMASTER, REVVMASTER" on a crowded street with everyone around, staring at him with a confused look.

Experienced this before

Hi

Couple of years back when I was still in Canada and contemplating returning to India and spending most of the time on R2I club for everything. My wife felt the same thing.

Best quote:
I (Wife) think I whould put what I want in R2Iclub and then only you(Me) will listen and act.

Now that I have to buy a new car in December, its Team Bhp thatis making my decision, She says just allow me to atleast choose the color.

Marvelous Ma'am,

Very well written. Hope to read more of your writings and experiences on T-bhp.com.

It helps to have the other point of view as well.

Cheers

Which makes you my senior in school? Lukeskywalker should be able to clear that for you if it didn't make sense.

Nicely written, Carburettor Cauvery!

truth, horsepower and the force.

Hahaha - that was a hilarious writeup Luke Skywalker's better half; Mara Jade would be a better term if you were a Star Wars junkie.

Your words probably echo similar thoughts going through my wife's mind, when she sees me browsing Team-BHP.
I believe a lot of BHPian wives will have similar stories to share.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, thats the truth for most of the coupled humans here.

I remember when Samurai and me were planning to meet a while ago, I gave him my wife's cell-phone number by mistake instead of mine, and she had a curious expression on her face when she told me later in the day - "Someone by the name of Mr. Samurai called for you today".
