I liked Roger Moore and then Sean Connery. After them, i really don't like anybody as much.

The others are good, but not as good as Roger and Sean, IMO.

Pierce Brosnan. Daniel Craig does have the physique and cold eyes though.

+1. I just love Jason Bourne!

Although if really talking about Bond, I'd say Sean Connery..

I think this should be categorised as olden days and new age Bond. Old age, Connery for me and New Age is of course Brosnan.

+1 to that. Although Daniel Craig was superb in the Bond flick (cant remember the name) the movie was a total letdown.

Sean Connery: Made the bond movies what it is today
Pierce Brosnan: Revived it
Hate Daniel Craig: Body builder as a bond he seems more suited to Wwf

Well I grew up with Pierce Brosnan and now Daniel Craig, so the older actors are unknowns as far as I go. But I prefer Daniel Craig despite the criticism he's got. His acting in Casino Royale was top class stuff. QoS was a victim of shitty directing and a poor plot. Hopefully he can redeem himself in Bond 23.

P.S. With permission from the thread starter, can this thread be renamed and turned into the Official James Bond Thread? A place where we can discuss anything related to the inimitable 007!

In order of preference:

1. Pierce Brosnan - Boyish good looks, suave, sophisticated. Perfect Bond.
2. Daniel Craig - Tough guy, cold hard stare. Perfect secret agent, not so much Bond
3. Sean Connery - Irresistible charm, but too ham to be Bond

PB beyond doubt. Also, DC will let go of his WWF fighting techniques once more movies are made because casino Royale was Ian Flemmings 1st writings where the character didn`t use much of gadgets. Hopefully from now on we would see much of DC using cool gadgets.

Sean followed by Brosnan. They have the right personality, flair and appeal.

Ian Fleming's Bond didn't have to do with too many gadgets. It was only the movie Bond which had gals and gadgets galore.

Probably the actor/character that comes pretty close to the way the actual Bond was written in the Ian Fleming books has to be Timothy Dalton. Daniel Craig seems to be doing a good job though he's too beefy!

Sean Connery is the ultimate movie Bond. Roger Moore made a fool out of James Bond.

And by the way, no spy would be as conspicuous as James Bond was, they like to be as discrete as possible

Surprisingly the one movie (Her Majesty's Secret Service) in which Bond goes through a lot of emotional turmoil, like actually falling in love, getting married and then seeing his wife get killed by arch villain Blofeld had George Lazenby playing Bond. Poor fellow he had the "Spectre" of Sean Connery hanging over him. He never played Bond again as Sean Connery came back for one more movie "Diamonds are Forever".

Actually both Timothy Dalton and Roger Moore were offered the Bond role in Majesty's Secret Service. Both refused only to take it on at a later point in their career.
