Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

Just logged into the EPFO portal after seeing this thread and guess what? The interest has been added to the account. So guess it should be available for most of the members now.

In my case, interest for FY 17-18 is was finally credited yesterday. I guess it is just a matter of time for all accounts to be updated.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

The EPF website is one of the most poorly managed portals by the government. Just tried to logon and the website is down ! The government should outsource this to a third party provider - just like the Income Tax website is - and focus more on the governance aspects.

The interest was credited couple of weeks back. I did check in my account and it showed. Not sure if the site is down again.

It hasn't appeared on my passbook still.

So yes, waiting for 30th September and hoping for the best.

We sure? I checked with a couple of colleagues who also confirmed they received.
Just to confirm, it appears just below the march contribution, even though updated late

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

I retired on 31st July, downloaded my passbook before leaving office and there was no interest for 31st March.

But when I received my PF settlement about three weeks later, they had added interest for FY 17-18, and also for the four month period till 31st July.

Not yet. The last interest added was in March 2017 for me.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

Had transferred PF from one account/office to another, the passbook for current PF account shows the entry for the transfer with amounts under "Employee share" and "Employer share" but "Pension contribution" shows 0. What happens to the Rs.1250 per month pension/EPS contribution that was accumulated over the years of service at the earlier organization ?

*Also, how does one "download" a pdf version of the passbook ? There isn't any option to download, the passbook can only be viewed by clicking on the account (the page just says "Select MEMBER ID to View PassBook" and there is a button for the Account number)

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

Has the EPF stopped crediting interest? I just checked my statement, and the last entry I see for interest credit is way back in Mar '16. No interest credited in '17 or '18.

I believe that's the responsibility of the EPFO, not my organization.

EDIT: Found this:

Quote:
In another such reply from a regional office, it appears that ECR (e-Challan cum Return) revision has been the reason for the delay. The reply says - "Annual account has not yet been compiled for both 2016-17 and 2017-18 due to ECR revision and request of the employer. The annual account is likely to be compiled before October 2018. Only while compiling annual accounts, interest will be automatically credited to individual accounts."

Once you click on "Select MEMBER ID to View PassBook", the statement will open up within the browser. If you just hover the cursor towards the top of the statement, you will see the download arrow.Very straightforward. This is on Chrome.

You could also download a PDF copy from the UAN portal.
