The beach of ganpatipule is known to be very dangerous and people staying in and around know it all. When we had decided to visit it, I was warned by one of my friend’s, who is a native of Ratnagiri, not to venture into the sea at any cost. It is said that the sea out there is very dangerous and there are many deaths out there. But then people done understand that they need to heed to the warnings and still go into the water and end up losing their life.

Even the beach at Kashid, we were warned by locals not to venture deep because the undercurrent is too powerful and you would not be able to sustain that force and would ultimately drown.
The best thing to do is not to risk one's life when you know in the back of your mind that it isn’t the safest thing to do.
