Moth population explosion in Navi Mumbai

There is an increase in the number of a harmless cricket like insect in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. They are attracted to the lights and swarm in huge numbers. We used to have swarms of dragonflys in this season long back back when i was a kid, around 15 years back. We used to catch the huge dragonflys with badminton rackets by swinging it in the air

. Perhaves one of the things which the newer generation is going to miss.

Vikhroli too is experiencing the 'moth problem' since yesterday. There are just too mayn of them and one has to keep the windows closed in this irrepressible heat !! I hate moths.

My mom used to apply some oil on a newspaper sheet and hang it by the tubelight.
It used to work for the flying Termites.
