Re: Team BHP on World community grid

Folks,

I have a doubt. How do we confirm if the GPU is also computing for the Grid ? I have the latest CUDA drivers installed but when I run a hardware monitor, I dont seem to see the GPU core pegged at 100% like the CPU.

Thoughts ?

I have been associated with the Grid for several years. My home laptop runs it all the time. Will join the team once I get home tonight

BOINC does not support all GPU's. You need to check on your website if your PC's GPU is compatible,

Thanks Vikram, I did check beforehand and found it to be in the list ( Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT ).

I just realized that the drivers were old and so have updated them. BOINC does seem to recognize my device as well. I did not subscribe to all projects on the Grid and so the one's I have may not be GPU ready.

I have the latest drivers now and have subscribed to all projects. I will be monitoring to see if the GPU makes any difference. Shall update soon.

Re: Team BHP on World community grid

I wish I could join this team, but I already have had my own India Grid Team and I'm the captain or whatever else it is called. If I leave that team now, all my old data will remain with that team and I will have to start afresh over here. :(

Thanks for pointing this out. I had never really gone and looked out for stats about my team. Well my systems have been crunching these numbers since November 2004 and it's good to know that I have the number 1 team in India.

Will send out an email to the team about these stats. This will be my first email to the team since I formed this group.

What's more surprising is that my team has grown on its own without any promotion at all.

Re: Team BHP on World community grid

Interesting Vikram ! I just wished T-BHP added more members like that.

Anyways, I have been trying to see which processors between the AMDs and the Intels crunch better on Boinc. Does anyone have any link that runs CPU benchmarks on BOINC ?

Re: Team BHP on World community grid

Hello All,

its been a while since I have contributed anything to the grid. Feeling bad about it. Hopefully should be doing better soon.

Neverthless, I wanted to check with you all to see if anyone has started using the Mobile BOINC. I believe its on Android. Any reviews ?

Thanks
Anand

I am. On two of my systems the GPU also gets used.
