Best to see your dentist. He can examine and give advice.

By broken i assume you mean exfoliating / falling off after getting loose ?

Am not sure what's considered 'too many' when it comes to cavities. This chap has 2 canines and both has cavities. He also has his pre-molars (?) which do not have cavities as yet but he has definite lack of calcium as suggested by a family orthopedic because of some bone ache.

Thanks for your advice. The doctor has advised root canal on both his upper canines. One of them is badly infected and the other may be saved by filling (if possible). He also advised a stainless steel cap after the treatment or a laser filling. Which is better?

Also would root canal be a traumatic experience for the kid? Apparently his tooth is badly infected.

There is nothing known as a laser filling.

For a kid, a ss cap is fine.

A good paediatric dentist makes any dental treatment trauma free for both the child and the parent.

No.

It seems that you are quite concerned and possibly scared of dental treatment. A child can pick this trait from you by just observing you. So be confident and trust your dentist and don't show fear or don't keep telling the child that there won't be pain. That makes the child think that there is a possibility of pain.

Just behave normally and do not show your apprehensions.

Thanks Tejas for calming my nerves a bit. Yes, I am actually more scared than him :(

Does this happen in one sitting? So two sittings for two RCs?

what happened on Saturday?

I am keen to know because I have a similar issue, but caused by bright light. Any day I forget to wear dark glasses while driving I get a bad headache. The doc told me it is due to "pitha" and also hyperacidity. Lack of proper sleep was one of the main causes, but cannot do much about it for the next few months. Also need to get my eyes checked and new sets of prescription glasses made.

please avoid reading in a moving vehicle, if anyone is doing this. we received a mailer at work for our eyes, and it said we need to blink often and take regular breaks from staring at our monitors. there was a suggestion to take breaks from the white lighting around us in our offices.

Got stuck in other work and as usual put my health issue on the back burner. Got a big dose from my dad that I need to take care and blah blah blah.

Have to complete the test before Sunday. Will update then.

I went to Max Vision near my office in Hyderabad.

Very nice setup. I paid Rs 200 at a counter and filled up a form with my information.

Was then taken to a consultation room.
2 Machines. One showed me this house with a road leading to it. The other machine had a bright light and also blew a little air into my eyes.

Then I went to the next consultation room.
The doctor showed me a board and asked me to read the smallest stuff I could find on it.
I read some numbers, turns out he needed me to read the text and not the really small serial number on the board.

Consultation room number 3. A doctor had this interesting machine that shines a really bright light into my eye. One eye at a time, while I was asked to focus first on a wall and then on his ear.

Final verdict. Nothing is wrong with me eyes.

I told all three doctors about the October incident. They said it must have been some freak thing and my eyes are perfectly fine.

Can any one point me to a good dentist in and around Bannerghatta Road? Also, any feedback on apollo dental clinic(the one inside the apollo campus - BG road) would be appreciated.

I have been happy with Dr. Murali Rao, who has his clinic near MES College, Jayanagar. He is available in the evenings at the clinic, coz daytime he teaches at RV Dental College.

Thats great news! I recommend you vist an ENT specialist and get a check up done. Just to be sure that the freak thing is nothing really.

I had a problem last year with a throbbing ear ache and this was attributed to nothing really. But I felt better that a specialist confirmed that. Within a day the pain disappeared.
