Any poets on Team-BHP? Post all your poems here!

ok i got bored this morning so here is a poem that i wrote for my car..

I love my car, the wagon-R..

When it goes that extra mile..
gives me a big smile..

when it feels a bit sluggish..
the gear shift seems a bit rubbish..

but make no mistake about it yaar..
its a capable little small car..

in city it is light and humble..
on highways it can make some crumble..

what i dont like is its high speed wobbling..
but surprisingly i dont find it toppling..

some people find it too boxy...
but thats what makes it soo sexy..

the best car from Maruti before Swift..
it is truely a god's gift..

It can put some big cars from Hyundai to shame..
But that IS the part of the game...

on the other hand i dont like its rear seat..
which makes my as* take the beat..

but its a good value for money..
makes up for each and every penny..

I love my car...
its called the Wagon-R...

P.S. People feel free to add your own poems about your cars..

Any poet's on TBHP? Post all your poems here!

Ok! I have been threatened by 0111 that if I don't put up this thread, she will do so very soon.

Are there any poet's (purists or those who just write for time pass) on the forum? If so, why not use this thread to share the poems you have written for your loved ones? Request all the members to put up poems that they themselves (or friends) have written. Let us not copy paste our favourite poems from elsewhere .

I am hoping to see a good contribution from Yeti & Zak on this thread . Anyone else out there?

Aftermath

When the world was a silent dream,
Stop this mayhem, No one screamed!
Worry not, it’s an ending treat,
Of a story not so sweet!

When god was busy writing his own lyrical,
Never heard or thought of me,
Fear or Stop I dint,
And made my own miracle.

Made friends with my goals,
One Aim, Make it roll,
Made treaty with the devil,
Dare not come near my soul.

Through evil and ugly I surpass,
Take all with a straight face and smile!
I am the star of tomorrow,
Who’s present and past is hollow.

Resurrect my world, twinkle in my eye,
With the idea of a selfless lie,
Doomed the larger fishes be,
For providence is the almighty.

After years everyone will see,
Of what they have rubbed,
Was a diamond in the making,
Shining with a mighty glee

A broken Heart!

Here is my lame contribution to this thread.

Wrote this on behalf of my best friend on Feb 13th, 2007.

One look at my past, reminded me of our times together,
When I look at the future, it makes me cringe that I might have lost him forever.
I sunk my head deep into the pillow,
With my heart feeling completely sad & hollow.

Soon my hands rushed to the cell,
My eyes dying to see the name I knew so well.
XXXXXX, XXXXXX my inbox read,
And there I was lying all alone on my bed.

There I was, all sad and low,
Wondering why my life had taken such a blow.
My heart only kept repeating "I love him a lot",
Even my mind was sunk, in the very same pool of thought.

His voice still kept ringing in my ears,
And there I was remembering all those wonderful seconds, minutes, months and years.
I never knew I loved him so much?
Only then I realized my love for him was such.

I wondered where those wonderful times had disappeared?
Only wishing those days of happiness would soon re-appear.
Then why this distance between us, I asked myself,
Yet we know, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Without knowing I began to weep,
The very thought that I had lost him forever gave me a creep.
All I wanted from him was a hug,
But in his absence, the pain was such, that I felt like I was bitten by a billion bugs.

My whole body began to tremble with fear,
Not knowing if I'd ever meet him & say "I love you my baby dear",
And then my phone began to sing,
"It was him, it was him", I told myself; he had given me a ring.

With tears in my eyes & him in my heart, I slept,
Even sleep eluded me, instead all I did is wept, wept & wept.
He said it was over forever?
Yet, I was sure he would stop loving me never.

I wondered, how long like this we would stay apart?
Because, I always wanted to be in his life, as a whole & not just a part.
I spent the whole day lost in his thoughts,
Remembering all those days we either laughed together, cried, or fought.

You can slap me, beat me, black & blue,
But never say, we can't be together, it hurts me a lot, you have no clue.
Pat me, hug me, kiss me will you not?
For it has always been you, with whom I have dreamt of tying the knot.

When I look back at all those times together,
Its ONLY those wonderful times that really matter.
Misunderstandings between us come and go,
Let us NOT GIVE UP, for we were happy together, not so long ago.

From now on, let us not hurt each other,
Instead, lets make up for all that time, we've not been together.
Let us not allow time to drift us apart,
As much as you deny, I know I am the only one that still beats in your heart.

I plead you to change your mind, let us make a fresh beginning,
Let us continue the legacy of our love, that this time will be never ending.
Here I am waiting for you, with wide open arms,
Come hug me my love, let us RE-LIVE that charm!

Good one.

Too big a narration Mclaren.

Is it a poem or a .... it actually looks like a small part of a letter written by you.

Guilty as charged. But it was important to express her feelings "in detail" as she described.

Guess you could call that a nursery rhyme.

Jeez,I'd written my one and only poem and submitted it on lovingyou.com ages ago. That was dedicated to my ex,I also used it on my current girlfriend Now it seems they have removed it from the site as they move old poems.I knew it would come in handy for something, didn't anticipate on this site of all possible things, hehe.Too bad.I'd also written several shayaris / poems when I was trying to "woo" my current gf,lost all of them with my cell being lost in 2007.If I find any I'll put 'em up*corny though they may be).

@Mclaren - Interesting idea for a thread and also interesting poem, ahem.
cheers:

PS - When you're not busy writing poems may I suggest going to another thread and helping a certain someone to pick a car? hehehe. Thanks mate.

I have a small problem. I have never written a poem in "English". Always used to write it in Hindi during college days. Translation is out of question as the poems would loose their meaning.

Any suggestions?

Write the poem on piece of paper. Scan it/take a digital pic and post

Alternatively, there are websites which allow you to type in Hindi. Take a screenshot and paste here.

Post them in Hindi. Let the 'flavour' not be lost.
