I still wonder at this. I was told by a trucker that Horn Please is mandatory to be written on the back of a truck and OK is what is required for some RTO passing or it is the RTO passing, something like that. Even Hand Signal or Power Brake invariably spelt as Break are some other things i was told were mandatory.

Ive seen a lot of things written on the back of trucks that i find amusing. I remember, on one truck, it was written on one part " Ek Abhi Nahin, Doosra Kabhi Nahi" obviously hinting at children. Then on the other remote corner it was painted in bold "Pappu, Titu, Bunto, Sweety, Simi,Happy De Pappa Di Gaddi"

If I remember correctly, i read about horn ok please on this very forum.

Let me try and reproduce it.

In the old days, the word 'OK' used to be backlit. The indication was that if you wanted to pass a truck, you would have to blow your horn. The truck driver would give you permission to overtake by lighting up the 'OK' on the back of the truck.

I guess cost cutting got rid of that light.

Wow, never heard of that reason. Which old days are you refering to, i mean how many years ago? Makes sense tough but i doubt the lit Ok sign part.
I feel its just means Horn Please. What the OK stands for, is a mystery to me.

I don't know if it's been posted already:
'I may be fat, but you're ugly, and I can diet!'
'Will race for food!'
