i am b positive and any body wants blood can pm me...

I'm O+. Heard this group is Universal Donor.

Its O+ for me. Never yet donated blood. But I want to.

This is a request to the moderators and to revive this thread.

Post a recent experience of a fellow team-bhp'ian and the difficulty he has faced to get the right blood group, I would like to request the moderators to make this a public poll so that we can get the id's of all the pollmembers who are willing to donate blood. This could come in handy in case someone was to look up in an emergency.

Psycho, I tried, but I don't think the poll can be changed to a public poll now. Wait let me check with the others.

O positive and have never donated.

Reciently, both my parents underwent MAJOR surgery.

Thank God they are fine now, but during their surgery, the hospital in Pune agreed to keep blood on standby on the normal condition that I gave them replacement blood.

Now I dont know how many of you have gone through this ( I'm hoping VERY FEW) but those that have will agree with me that ITS A FREAKING NIGHTMARE.

Firstly having the pressure of your near and dear one's undergoing the knife, and then secondly having to run around to get blood to give the blood bank.

My suggestion here is that we at Team BHP keep a kind of database of people, cities and blood groups that we all can tap into(no pun intended) to help out when required.

I'm O NEGATIVE and am available in Bombay, and sometimes in Poona and yes I donate blood whenever required.

Well we did speak about it before .. Best thing to do would be to put up a public poll with all the blood groups .. This would certainly help save lives ..

thats one of the bad things about being asthmatic, one can't donate blood.

BTW i am O negative and am willing to donate to anyone that may need blood (God forbid!). Hope the request is not on a weekend though... cos u cant donate blood for next 48 hrs after alcohol consumption.... :Frustrati

I have also run around a lot when my dad was in for bypass surgery some yrs bck... and a lot of good souls helped by donating blood.... God bless them all... I have since donated regularly and will continue to do so....
