@ Sabret:
There are some sites like Orkut (lawyers communities), vakil no.1 etc.

IMO you should consult a local lawyer who is more well versed with the local land laws. In any case websites would give you general advice. Do a pre-check about the good civil lawyers in your city and thereafter meet him.

I will eventually contact a lawyer but I was looking for a forum since I wanted opinions from multiple people

That will drive you crazy. Meed probably 2 or 3 lawyers. Not more.

There are often more than one approaches to issues, and you will have to trust the lawyer.

I agree. No lawyer can give you advice without seeing the papers and discussing the facts with you in detail.

The flip side is true too - If any lawyer gives you advice without seeing each and every document related to the document, discount the advice as a seemingly minor detail in the documents can alter the case.

Ask around, find one or two lawyers who are recommended to be good (honest, diligent and meticulous). Take their advice. Choose one to handle the case. Yes, this may sound more expensive, but it can save you big bucks and heartburn in the long run.

Cheers,
