It is not a Guy Ritchie movie but is directed by another British Director called Julian Gilbey. Yes the genre is same as most Guy Ritchie movies

The butterfly effect(2004).
This is perhaps Ashton Kutcher's best performance till date.
Extremely gripping movie about a guy who blacks out in his childhood and in his teens find a way to go back and make everything alright. Direction and screenplay is top notch.

Rating- 4.5/5

Yes MileCruncher it's not, Its bad English on my part .

Rise of the Footsoldier is about the rise of Carlton Leach a Hooligan to a criminal. The story follows three decades of his life from football hooliganism to a ruthless club bouncer and onto the criminal life and ultimately how it all ended for him.

The movie is very violent.

Ratings : 3/5

A real english movie.....

I don't know if it is true, but I would like to believe that there is a subtle difference between an "American" english movie and a "British" english movie

Saw Michael Caine's "SLEUTH" - superb movie! Only two actors, gripping plot and wonderful portrayal by both the protagonsits..

Apart from many gems from Caine ( remember the German soldier in "The Eagle has landed" and the British soldier in "The man who would be the King"?), I always remember his comedy "Blame it on Rio"...

PS - The movie was so gripping, that my daughter sat through it with me, and forgot about the football match which she wanted to see!

Must watch "No country for old men" Tommorow at 6pm HBO. Drug mafia movie, silent action in which the villan uses cylinder gas as a gun. Its all about a money bag. Really superb screen play.

+1. Javier Bardem in one of the most spine chilling roles

I watched phone booth, the way the movie moves forward in a gripping pace is too good, also the location of the filming is almost in the same place, the booth.

my rating would be 4/5.

Actually Rat Race and Dhammal are both copies of 'It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World' (especially Dhammal which is much closer to the original). If you enjoyed the above, I seriously recommend you watch the original.
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963)

If possible, try to watch the uncut version. Its much more chilling. HBO version is stripped down.

I watched it on DVD. Hope that was un-cut version and not similar to what they showed on HBO.
