Watched the following movies last week/end..
Orphan: liked the movie a lot but I somehow didn't liked those fake tension buildups at the starting of the movie (things like man in the mirror and those sudden audio assaults for nothing etc). They have became a cliche and bit boring. But overall a pretty good movie and the ending was pretty surprising. 7.5/10

LA Confidential : I don't know how I missed this movie for so long. Really good cop story and the acting was top-notch. One of the best Cop Stories if I dare to say. 8.5/10.

Rush Hour 3: Pathetic. I really regret that I wasted my time watching that movie. There was no story and the movie was not funny. 1/10..

Donnie Darko : Already enough said about this movie. A must watch. 8.75/10

Well it's all good! As much as I relished each minute of the movie, I wouldn't have preferred to read Silverwood's post before watching the film.

Anyway getting back to the topic, it's great that you guys seem to have enjoyed Shutter Island as much as I did. At the risk of starting an arguement, I'd say that Shutter Island is a much better film than the hyper-hyped Inception.

Saw or tried to see Crank-2 last night. Left the theater at interval. Couldn't sit through it any more. As it is was difficult sitting through half the film. Free Advice: Dont even THINK of seeing it.!!!

I could not even stand the first one - "crank (2006)" . In the first one they have just shown how to get a adrelaline rush in different ways.

watched four movies over the weekend.

1. See no evil, hear no EVil. Gene Wilder, Richard Pryor. The villainous chick is so hot.
Story about two guys one of them a blind another a deaf.
I think this the concept was copied in some old hindi movie.

2. Silver Streak, Same Gene Wilder and Pryor combo. But its a so - so movie.

3. The Rainmaker, a legal drama based on John Grisham's novel. a must watch by Ford Coppola.

4. Mullholand Falls, About four cops in the late 50's starring Nick Nolte. a so so movie.

The film is based on Dennis Lehane's 2003 novel of the same name. This film is my personal favorite too as this is related to my work.

Its very much true that during and after WW1 and 2, numerous scientific experiments (drug trials) were carried out on POW till the international committee formed guidelines on clinical research, which are now known as the ICH-GCP guidelines.

Watched 'About Adam' in Star Movies late night yesterday and absolutely loved it. For those who love a hilarious 'romantic n adulterine' comedy, this shouldnt be missed. The movie was played with zero adv' breaks, making it all more exciting to watch.

@blackasta - You really like "V for Vengeance" don't you?

Another great one guys. "The Green Mile" [1999].

For those who cant digest "Orphan" as a great movie, I would recommend the new Rajnikanth movie "ROBOT" !!!.

Watched Inception & while it does make you think, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.

Yeah I too feel that Leo was wasted, this is far below his normal potential. Matt Damn would have had to put in some effort

Its 'V for Vendetta' buddy !

Remember remember the fifth of November
The gunpowder treason and plot
I know of no reason, why the gunpowder treason
should ever be forgot!

Really need an idea like V on todays India.

Try and get hold of the graphic Novel if you can - its unputdownable and 100 times better than the film.

Watched(or re-watched) a few movies over the weekend :

Horton Hears a Who :
Nice movie, great if you have kids (or a kid at heart, like me, lol!). Bright and cheery and colourful. 2.5/5.

Cars :
The more I watch this movie, the more I like it! 4/5.

Scarface :
Excellent movie, I wonder why I dismissed it as unwatchable before. 4/5.

Goodfellas :
Based on a true story, again a great mob movie. 3.5/5.

And I would heartily agree with you. I too feel that Shutter Island was a much better film than Inception. Infact I think I've mentioned somewhere that probably Shutter Island is the best movie of this year.

"V for Vendetta" tonight after I finish "The Thing".
Few more movies in the queue are, Dr. Strangelove, A Streetcar named Desire, Ghost in the Shell (Jap), Rashomon(Jap), Lebanon, A Clockwork Orange and Man on Fire. Can someone please prioritize these movies for me?
