The November Man!
Classic Spy Story
Well worth watching and not least for Pierce Brosnan and certainly Olga Kurylenko looks rather nice...

Thelma & Lousie:

A roadtrip movie featuring two lady friends with distinct personalities. Very well acted and directed. Also the movie debut of Brad Pitt.

Rating - 4.5 / 5.0

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind:

Starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet in very different roles in contrast to anything done previously. Very innovative storyline and execution. Do not miss it.

Rating - 4.5 / 5.0

The Signal

3 kids in an alien abduction scenario, interrogated by lawrence fishburne as a CDC sort doctor.

Well, it does keep you on your toes till about 2/3rds of the movie, but then it sort of shifts into high gear. Very strange high gear though. Its surprising, but doesnt fit in well.

I made the mistake of watching it in settings, and felt like I was on a 60's journey at times.

4/5, I suppose

Finally caught up and watched 'Blue Jasmine' last night.

What a wonderful movie by Woody Allen and such superb acting by Cate Blanchett.
She 100% deserved that academy award!

Must watch !

World war Z: for the zombie / apocalypto fans.

The last stand: English masala movie.

A good day to die hard: Though rated low, i managed to sit through the movie. Better than any 7+ rated romance movies.

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Caught up with watching two movies solely due to my son's persistence.

1) Captain America - Winter Soldier: What a drab movie I must say totally unexpected after seeing the first part. My son walked out of the room after watching it half.
Rating: 2/5

2) Amazing Spiderman 2: The movie was so slow with lot of melodrama put in. With just one villian, things were pretty easy for Spidey I guess. I am beginning to start hating that weird look on Peter Parker's face every now and then.
Rating: 2/5

Should I start reading the Marvel comics again coz the movie versions are getting on my nerves.

Guyz, Did any one see " Fault in our stars"? I was on flight from Denver and accidentally played the movie while browsing the movies. I got hooked instantly and my god that was one emotional deep love story. Actors were just perfect and direction and screenplay was just great. I have not felt so emotional while watching a movie recently. Its a must watch. 4.5/5

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Transformers AOE.

Literally is the fag end of the series, this one seemed like.
Who'da thunk Shia lebouf would be so important? Absolutely no anchor in the whole movie. You don't develop any connect with ANYBODY in the flick, the transformers are too intricate, too many moving parts, too much effort into details.
Galvatron? Way to mess up a character Bay.
Mark wahlberg, SO bad.
The kid and the daughter, unnecessary
A full 0/5

Expendables 3
Now this is a series where you go in wanting to see just what the biggies of yesteryears are doing, and with zero expectations come zero disappointments.
But in the end, it turns out to be a quite decent watch!
Awesome to see snipes back in action. Arnold looks quite haggard, but was still fun. Wonder what he's planning to do in his next terminator.
4/5

Pawn Shop Chronicles:
Just watch this for Paul walker, and Brendan Fraser.
Walker can act!

5/5

Edge of tomorrow:
He's really building a niche for himself here, tom cruise is.
Futuristic, post apocalyptic stuff, and doing quite well. It may be an old idea, this one, but its very slick, and I am sorry I missed watching it on the big one.

4/5

Its a good one time watch. Pacing of the movie is good and you won't feel bored for a single minute. There isn't much of a suspense but the idea is unique. Go for it.

Million Dollar Arm

A nice one time watch with a predictable ending. Was surprised to see a tamil song as bgm when the credits rolled out.
