Planet Terror WAS fun, if one's taste runs to Zombie slashin, evel-dead, resident evil-esque movies. IIRC, that one aint a tarantino movie though. Fuzzy abt tht though. Confirm?

The guy who directed this Planet Terror (2007)

also directed this Spy Kids (2001)

I like the former and also Desperado (1995)
and From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)

I watched this movie at the time it was released, so I had no idea where things were heading (had no exposure to the buzz about the movie before I watched it). The first half is really good and it gets you into a nice mood. And then the snake dance begins (Salma Hayek, yum!), and Roderiguez takes over. And the movie turns upside down. Once you collect your jaw from the floor after seeing how things turn out, you shake your head in wonderment and settle down to enjoy what the movie turns out to be.

Saw Pink Panther 2 finally. It became 40rs you see.
worth every bit of the 40rs ticket. But if the ticket was 160rs I wouldn't have gone.
2.75/5!
The humor is slapstick, with some scenes really really funny.

Yep, Desperado and From Dusk till Dawn are both awesome movies. Come to it, I do remember a trailer for a bloody movie called "Machete" before Planet Terror starts. Thank god i din't go searching for that one.....lol. I have both the Grindhouse movies in divx if anyone is interested.

Has anyone heard of the movies Daywatch and Nightwatch (Russian blockbusters. 2004?)? Watched a little of Nightwatch yesterday and found it interesting. The plot is that there are some Humans called Others, who have some extra powers and are either followers of the light or dark and keep fighting. That is all i made out. Will watch it tonite. Any reviews?

It was good initially with the starting sequence and the car chase, but the ending was a damp squib to me.

Yeah, started out well enough, but they truly lost the tempo in the middle and the ending was all too messed up!

Can be given a miss for sure!

The Bollywood adaptation of this movie (loosely based) called Dasvidaniyan is a much better watch, IMO. I certainly enjoyed the movie.

Saw Doubt
Doubt (2008/I)
Meryl Streep, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams.
Phenomenal acting by the cast. And the story is well directed too. Keeps you engaged throughout and leaves you still thinking and rethinking about the film long after it has finished.

Could you give a brief narration of story?
Action/thriller/comedy?

None of the above. Its drama. For a synopsis of the movie, follow the link i posted. I myself cant do justice to the movie by putting the synopsis in my own words.

I now pronounce you Chuck & Larry

The story's based around 2 firemen who are the best of friends and where one of them requires the other's help to get access to his funds locked away in his late wife's name. To do that, they need to be in a relationship, and pretend to be gay.

Adam Sandler is just amazing in this movie, and so is his friend played by Kevin James. The movie trudges along expected lines, though.

Good timepass.
