i have seen the movie and its pretty good . But watch the original which was shot in the 60's.

I bought the DVD of the older Italian Job based on this comment. I like the newer Italian Job lot more than the old one. The newer one is very precise, very professional, all the way to the end. The older one is kind of loose, has some unbelievable scenes, gets pretty weird.

1) Mr.Bridger: He is supposedly in a prison, but he shows up everywhere, in funeral homes, streets, other secure meeting places, but goes to loo in the prison. Even the warden treats him like a king, not an inmate. What the...???
2) Planning video: Camp Freddie makes a movie on the busy street on Turin explaining how the heist will be made. He acts as anchor in the movie walking the street and doing the talk. Who would do that? There were no handheld video-cams those days.
3) The Mafia leader: He is personally spying on Camp Freddie when he is making the video on the busy street explaining how the heist will be made. He even shows up in the planning movie up-close as if he acting the movie.
4) Mr.Croker: Mr.Bridger has him beaten close to death with clubs, yet in the next scene he looks hale and healthy.
5) When the operation succeeds, Mr.Bridger dances in the prison with all the inmates and guards hail him on the success. Looked like a scene from Chicago the musical, than a serious heist movie.
6) After the carefully executed plan succeeds, they do some silly stuff. (a) Why the need to load the Minis on to the bus while on the move when nobody is chasing them? (b) Why did the coach driver drive the bus so carelessly on the mountain road while carrying so much gold?

As the title starts rolling unexpectedly, I sat there stunned.

Our college had a spl screening of the same movie but it sucks. Not worth the horror element

Whatever you do, dont miss "2012" releasing world wide on Friday the 13th (what a coincidence) Nov 2009.

The movie has been rated ***** by lot of Enterainment Houses and i am sure it will be one hellua movie!!

Make sure you watch this in the theaters for maximum effects. The movie's usp craves on superb visual effects and "Roland Emmerich" the director of the movie who gave us, Independence Day (1996) and The Day after tomorrow (2004).

1. Paranormal Activity - My friend has burned it; its the video version which i believe has a different ending than the theatrical version.

Yes, FD2 was awesome. Especially the accident episode. It was so realistic and infact all bizarre accidents were picturised exceptionally well.

Lets see whats in store in the recent release.

Thanks Jayant. I have actually seen most of the movies, maybe all, but more than 15-20 years ago so i really don't remember the movies, albeit vaguely. My Uncle, who's retired now, was in Air India and he used to get excellent video cassette prints of these movies from London (Where he's settled post retirement), hence we got into the habit of watching good quality cinema from our parents. Can't wait to see Doctor Zhivago with Omar Sharif and Passage to India, Victor Banerjee is in the movie more so since both movies are directed by David Lean.

Summary at IMDB- Heat (1995) - Plot Summary

Hunters and their prey--Neil and his professional criminal crew hunt to score big money targets (banks, vaults, armored cars) and are, in turn, hunted by Lt. Vincent Hanna and his team of cops in the Robbery/Homicide police division. A botched job puts Hanna onto their trail while they regroup and try to put together one last big 'retirement' score. Neil and Vincent are similar in many ways, including their troubled personal lives. At a crucial moment in his life, Neil disobeys the dictum taught to him long ago by his criminal mentor--'Never have anything in your life that you can't walk out on in thirty seconds flat, if you spot the heat coming around the corner'--as he falls in love. Thus the stage is set for the suspenseful ending.

Really liked the movie. Worth watching for 2 legends!
