All alone and a horror movie? Now, that'll change the perspectives quite a bit. Actually I should add one more thing, one of my friend got very scared it seems and had trouble sleeping. For me probably I was bit bored initially and couldn't connect with the movie in the later parts. I should've watched it alone :-(
Going to finished the unfinished movies (Saints and Soldiers and Underworld-rise of the lycans) if possible by today.

Arre right now i am staying in an apartment building. And i keep hearing thuds and bangs from the guys who live above me. So, imagine my plight!! I blame this movie for my recent spike in alcohol consumption

Planning to watch Men Who Stare at Goats next weekend. And hoping to catch Pirate Radio and 2012 the weekend after, just before i start my return back home.

Dre@ms, if you have seen the last 5 parts, then you don't have a choice. You have to watch it. You dont want to have a broken chain with a missing link when they release Saw 7, do you?

He he I can understand, actually I'm hearing similar sounds from the floor above in my apt for last one year. Every night someone will be dragging some table/chair and some marbles falling on the floor, hammering and stuff like that. Thanks to God that I didn't watched PA before I got used to those sounds. Otherwise things would've been different probably.
BTW, you guys may find it funny but I was more scared when I watched RGV's "Bhoot", I was totally freaked out at scene when Urmila was watching TV and suddenly she turns towards the side mirror and see someone's glimpse. Man, that was a genuine scary moment for me. In this movie(PA) it was the dragging scene but not that scary. I think now I would blame it to the food and liquids I consumed before the movie too.
OK, guys need recommendation, following are on pipeline from Bigflix, which two I should get first?
1. Lock stock and two smoking barrels
2. Stalag 17
3. Dog day afternoon
4. Amores Perros
5. ET
6. A few good men
7. October sky
8. North by North-west
Help, help.

I am lucky, watched PA during the night(10PM) with pin drop silence, in my Altec HT. Increased sound from the rear speakers and the sook scenes were tremendous.

You are true, watched all the 5 parts and never felt bored, all the games played are fantastic and for some or the other reasons I like gore. Wil wait for a good print release.

Kaushik? Bhoot?? But it was a nice shock and awe movie.
From the list, if you like fast paced funny intricate movies, go for 1. If you like a tug at your heart every now and then, then 2. Courtroom drama at its best - A Few Good Men. See Hitchcock create a movie phenomenon - North by North West.

You know what? Now that PA's effect is lifting off ( i saw PA right before Saw6), Saw 6 doesnt seem like a bad movie now. I am now remembering a couple of scenes that made me look away. No other Saw movie has done that to me. Not even the rack could make me look away.

Hehe, my brain must have been lumpy gravy by the time i walked out of the cinema hall.

You mean Mrs.Wallace? She is hardly there, gets married and then dies. The real female lead in Braveheart is Sophie Marceau.
Yep, Mrs Wallace, and she had the plum role, though shorter than Marceau's. And she was very good in that role IMO. And get a load of this-- yesterday's Slimes of India reports that Gibson believes Braveheart played a role in the Brit Parliament giving autonomy (read self governance) to the Scots. LOL!!!

"Layer Cake" Starring Daniel Craig

It's a story about drug dealers, deals and how those deals go awry.

It's produced by Mathew Vaughn ( same guy who produced LS & 2 SB, Snatch etc). I saw this movie with great expectation but it fell flat on its face

Lot of brit guys from previous movies like Dexter Fletcher ( LS & SB) etc. Same cockney twangs but it failed to impress me this time around.

Story is too complicated, Daniel is too complacent ( we are used to his ferocious fighting character from Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace) and meek in this movie.

It has some moments but otherwise it's long drawn and insipid

2/5

Moon

The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)-moon.jpg

Bravo! Here's proof that a sci-fi without a multi-star cast and any over the top special effects can be a compelling watch.

Some time in the future, man has found a solution of the problem of energy shortage on earth by mining the rocks of the moon to extract helium 3. To manage matters on the moon the company in that business sends a person (Sam Rockwell) in a 3 year contract who has to work alone on the moon station with a robot (voice of Kevin Spacey) as help. Towards the fag end of the 3 year period strange things start happening and it turns out that the clean energy source for use on the earth is not obtained with entirely clean practices. Writing more about the plot will amount to giving away spoilers.

My rating: 4.5/5

Movie: The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009)

Summary: In a desperate attempt to save his rapidly failing used car dealership, Ben Selleck hires a crack team of "car mercenaries" to ramp up sales during the Fourth of July weekend. Led by the fast-talking, foul-mouthed, self-assured Don "The Goods" Ready, the group has three days to sell over 200 cars. But as Don undertakes his newest mission, and quickly falls for the boss's daughter Ivy, he realizes he'll have to trust more than his cars and his crafty skills in deceit to make a success out of the daunting weekend.

Thanks guys, requested for the delivery and got LSaTSB and Dog day afternoon delivered. Only problem is that I'm still at office and doesn't seem like I can watch any of them today :-(
Will order A Few Good Men next for sure. Have seen the hindi copy( Shaurya) and I liked that movie(or was it loosely based?).

If you liked Shaurya, you will absolutely love Few Good Men. The acting, screenplay and storywriting in FGM is miles ahead of Shaurya. Those who saw Shaurya after seeing FGM acquired suicidal tendencies.

Also can someone PM me a good torrent link please? I'm tired of searching for a good one, there are comments this way and that.
I heard there are actually THREE endings! I have seen the theatrical version. And read about the other two. They both seem verrrry lame to me after seeing the theatrical one. But then again, reading is different from seeing.

As for torrent, you probably wont get a good one until its out on dvd, or is about to be out on dvd.
