is this based on real story?
You are right about the vibrations. Thats why it is very important that the cinema hall has right acoustics for this.

And its not based on a real story but its inspired from a small personal experience that the director had. Wasnt as creepy or terrifying as the movie. Just that a spray can fell down from a shelf in his house (same house where the movie is shot). The can was nowhere close to the edge or anything.

I saw PA on DVD and never found it disturbing at all.
Infact I was watching it all alone at night and the only creeps that it gave was the sound that could wake-up my wifey, fast asleep in the bedroom.

George Clooney excels in this depressing tale of a frequent flier. Clooney's job is to sugar-coat the bad news of layoffs and sacking of employees of various companies. He also has a rookie alongside learning the tricks of the trade from him. The movie does have potential to win a few awards.

My rating: 3/5

I too saw UP in the Air yesterday. I give the movie a 4/5.
A nice touchy movie and liked the coverage of the recession related sacking.

I saw Underworld-Rise of Lycans and I like it.
This is a movie about Vampires and Werewolves, So if you into underworld stuff then watch it otherwise forget it.

Best part in these kind of movies, we do not have to bring logic at all.

This movie is a prequel to the other 2 underworld movies. If you have seen other 2 movies then this is a must watch. This is a simple story and extremely easy to follow. If you haven't seen other parts then this movie will compel you to watch the other parts.

Micheal Sheen (Lucian) was totally in the part and Rhona Mitra (Sonja) did a good job. All actors fits into their character quite nicely.

This movie is biased towards Lycans that is obvious from the first scene.
Cool CG and visuals. All dark with a blueish tinge. Direction could have been better, some scenes left you feeling that something more was needed.
4/5

Major Grouse: No Kate Beckinsale. However, Rhona looks uncannily like Kate which fits in with the story. The first part is still the best though.

Paranormal was a good concept gone haywire. The most important factor in any horror movie is the background score, which was lacking here completely. A lot of question pop up after the movie is over. It seemed like an incomplete and hurried job.
All said and done, +2 stars to only for the courage of these guys to make the movie in $15000 and raking in millions. Way to go mate.
3/5.

P.A.--I too didn't like it though the girl was cute

BTW i have also seen The Others and its Hindi version featuring Dimple,Amitab,Dharmendra etc.
Hindi version is just a translation of entire english version without any modification, only change being the star cast and ofcourse the language.

I saw Hindi version before and liked both very much.It was a very good theme to make a horror film.

i thought Others was a 2001 movie - wonder whether it is a copy of the hindi version!

Hey cool, I plan do watch it too tonight.
Saw the Hostel and Saw in the last couple of days.

Hostel is worth watching (on the DVD ) though some scenes are a little too gross for my liking

Liked Saw.Good plot, less of a horror than a thriller movie.

There is something about mary

'There is something about mary' : Well it is sort of old movie, but saw it on FX y'day. Ben Stiller, Matt Dillon and Cameron Diaz have done a good job. Thoroughly enjoyable!!
