BTW watch Godfather II - IMO that is better than the original Godfather - specially - Al Pacino.
I felt Robert De Niro was better than Al Pacino. IIRC RDN won an Oscar for that as well.

I've watched Godfather for the nth time recently, after a gap of nearly a decade. The background music is one of the best ever, not to mention Marlon Brando's top class performance.
I like the mature way he reacts to his son's killing, and how he later breaks down before the coroner.

watched Casino Jack. Kevin Spacey has done a very good job.

Its based on a real event that happened not long ago.

It seems issue with politicians are same all over the world.

A must watch. Also find and watch the documentary Casino Jack : United states of Money to get more insight on it.

I actually didn't see the complete movie, only a small part. But I heard the movie was great. And from the little I have seen Dakota Fanning is an exceptional child artiste with great histrionics.

This is one movie that is really close to my heart.

If you want to see Spacey at his manic best, watch "Swimming with the Sharks".

I thought this was KS's best movie. There was a short dialogue that Kevin rattles out to his wife Annette Benning in that movie ( i rewinded so many times then..whew). He deserved the academy award just for that dialogue rendition

Jack and Jill vs the world

film is about life. a manifesto created by Jack and Jill on how to live a happy and fun life. Worth a watch once.

3/5

HP 7: part 1

Lays the foundation to the finale. Special effects are very good, direction is good. Very long movie by Hollywood standards. its around 2 and half hour. Some people may find it talkative. Those who have read the complete novel won't like it much when compared to the book which is understandable. i for one liked it since i haven't read the whole book series.

watch it if you are a HP fan.

3.75/5

Saw Good Will Hunting

The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)-gwh.jpg

This is one heck of a movie about a boy genius Will Hunting(Matt Damon) who has anger management problems. The story is about his discovery by a College Professor & his interaction with another Professor(Robin Williams) who counsels him to make him realise his true potential & seek what he really wants out of life. This movie also shows Will's relation ship with his best friend (Ben Affleck).

The performances are simply brilliant by all & whats more amazing is the fact that the story has been written by Ben Affleck & Matt Damon.

A Must Watch

4.5/5

Machete

Machete is everything that the teaser (during Planet Terror) promised and more. Delightfully entertaining with lots of violence, gore and with political correctness blasted to smithereens! I had a huge grin on my face throughout the film!

Mind you that this fiilm is not for the faint hearted nor the easily offended types. This is a movie for horror and exploitation cinema connoiseurs only!

I didn't like Robert Rodriguez's "Once upon a time in Mexico" - the movie nearly put me to sleep. So I am a little apprehensive about watching this.
By the way, where did you get to see "Planet Terror" - I don't think Planet Terror or Death Proof is available on DVD in India - or is it?

Machete is a very different film from Once upon a time... but watch at your own risk!
You can get stuff from Alfa in Mumbai or order via Amazon.

What's Alfa - is it a video library?
