Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

Movie - Tere Mere Phere

Starcast - Vinay Pathak, 2 newcomers, Riya Sen(negligible role)

Genre - Romantic Comedy

Plot - Its about a couple of go to Himachal for their honeymoon driving in a caravan/motor house. Snapshots of how they met and fell in love at first sight and the situation on the 3rd day of honeymoon is totally on the other extreme.

Seems like a regular story, it is a regular story, but the characters are strong and looks like a real couple(will remind the married people of their antics). Vinay didn't had much of a role and he is not rib tickling if you benchmark it to Bheja Fry. I would say the newcomers deserve the applause.

Something on the scenery, its shot in some of the most unexplored places of Himachal, with lovely and breathtaking views.

Even if you don't like the movie, you would certainly like the scenery.

Rating - 3.5/5

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

Rascals

Brainless movie with a little bit of humor thrown in. I was expecting a typical David Dhawan comedy but it is not close to his previous good works. He has lost his magic touch I guess. Dialogs are good, some make you laugh, some make you do this ()

This movie doesn't demand any acting skills and none of the actors has it. SD looks very old, doesn't suit in such roles. AD is kinda ok, but sometimes over the top. Kangana looks hot, she has gained lots of weight. Rampal doesn't look like a don. Chunkey Pandey generates a few laugh.

I didn't like any songs. May be on repeat hearing like one or two. But i had rather listen to repeat songs of Rockstar than this.

Watch if you have nothing else to do and put your brains at home please.

2/5

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

Stumbled upon the Shaitan movie - yet to be released. They played the song in Kaun Banega Crorepati.

And watched some videos on youtube. Has one of my fav actors - the Aamir guy. Forgot his name. Khandelwal something.

The songs have been converted to MP3 and have helped me pass a stressful day at work.

Looking forward to the movie. Should be a good one time watch.

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

Watched 'Not a Love Story' last night. Based on true events, the handling is good and some typical RGV touches are there - but somehow I was left a bit wanting. Dunno why RGV has lost that touch he had lately...

Check this video of the Khoya Khoya Chaand remix. I've not watched the movie yet but this sequence is really well choreographed. Kind of violent and graphic though..

That's the exact same clip that got me hooked. All other clips show some actors acting as teenagers. So thought it was another of those chick flicks. That particular clip changed it.

Very well done sequence there. This weekend I am going to get this one.

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

This song and video is the highlight of the movie (sung by Suman Sridhar). For some reason it is not a part of movie soundtrack. I want to buy the CD just for this track but it is not part of it. I do not like remixes, but for some reason I feel this remix is better than the original :-))).

And to add to what already have been commented by others, this movie derives its plot from the unreleased Kashyap's movie Paanch.

But I think Shaitaan is one of those movies that should be watched on big screen for it cinematographic brilliance. RGV should learn a lesson or two from the same.

I personally believe a smart cameraman would make the audience involve with the characters which is what EXACTLY happens in Shaitaan and which is needed in such dark movies unlike what RGV started doing of late, irritate the dreaded hell out of the viewer by shaking the camera too much!

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

Has anyone watched ham legend, vibrating thespian Dev Anand's latest A-grade offering, 'Chargesheet' yet?!

You have to watch this trailer! towards the end you will see Dev Saab standing in his famous 60 degree pose and delivering an intense dialogue which gives me a feeling that this movie is going to give some tough competition to Manoj Kumar shaab's cult classic 'Clerk' or 'Kalark'!

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

Not sure if anybody pointed it out, happened to see the trailer of ra-one and it seems to be a straight "inspiration" from the-one starring Jet Li.
