Have a look at his imdb picture with the suit and compare it alongside his latest character. This guy is very professional and is going to be a megastar someday. He is improving with leaps and bounds in every movie. My parents couldnt recognise him at all in his new avtar. I had to remind them he was the officer in Kahani then they were impressed with his skills.

I mean the way he has carried out the role of a limping beggar, not for one second do you see a mistake in his acting. This guy is a perfectionist.

Nawazuddin is a fabulous artist, one to look out for. Thank god we discovered him before he was almost lost. It's difficult to recognize him in different roles, amazing talent.

Nit-picking:
1. Does SIM card hold last dialled list?
2. Did the skid marks and the steps justify the projectile motion of the car?

I also think the movie should have ended when Aamir learns the truth. There was no need for the explanation at all. That would have made an ending like Inception!

Thanks..

- Why would someone leave the most precious thing (DVD to be used for blackmailing) , back at home to be discovered by another person ?

- A girl following you in a hotel is nothing to blackmail ! Unless one has the DVD of real act.

You hit the nail on the head. If I was blackmailed on that pretext, I would have asked the blackmailer to take a hike. But, then the movie would also would not have been made...lol

EDIT: But, the poor guy who was being blackmailed didnt know the blackmailer had ONLY that portion of the video

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

I saw talash yesterday after bunking office for 1/2 day
Rating 3/5
Average movie with no great suspense
Acting done by Amir was good but he has more potential to do.
Movie could have been good if more stress was put on solving the case rather than roaming here and there in car with or without Kareena

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

I saw Talaash yesterday & didn't enjoy it that much because the suspense was let out by Kamaal R. Khan on twitter. Spoiled it for me.

Speaking about refreshing actors, some recent ones that have stood out for me.

1. Nawazuddin Siddiqui
2. Adil Hussain (Ishqiya; English Vinglish; Life of Pi; Tanishq Advert with Tisca Chopra)
3. Raj Kumar Yadav (LSD; Shaitaan; GoW; Talaash)
4. Piyush Mishra - I know he's not a 'recent discovery' but he just smacked it with Gulaal (Read this superb bio of him --> http://www.caravanmagazine.in/arts/artists-demons)

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

Finally took out some time and watched Jab Tak Hai Jaan before it goes out of the cinemas. Didn't expect it to be like some of the earlier SRK movies so the expectations weren't high. The movie was kind of ok except the medical part. I kind of hate this age old love for "Amnesia after an accident" that bollywood and our TV industry has. They should have probably found another way to re-unite the 2 once SRK lands back in London.
Katrina was looking fab as usual but I think Anushka needs to start eating before she vanishes into thin air. Really looking anorexic in the movie.

Khiladi 786!!!
I caught this over the weekend.
Somehow, akshay Kumar is at his best in this, his pet franchise, every time!
The humor and delivery is always current.
Leave brains at home, and enjoy some in your face humor, as well as some good tongue in cheek stuff.
I totally enjoyed this.
Will give it 4/5
Missing a full 5 because of Asin.
This is a very strange woman indeed. Every time she's on, you tend to look else where.

Have a look at this - http://www.imdb.com/chart/top (imdb top 250).
We now have a bollywood entry at 247, just noticed .. don't think it was there a couple of months back.

Cheers!!

Re: The Hindi Movies Thread

OMG: Oh My God! was very good. Paresh Rawal is brilliant in his role as Kanji Lalji Mehta. Akshay manages to hold his mettle (welcome relief from his otherwise brainless comedies). The movie is edited to perfection, there are no lazy moments, unwanted scenes, boring scenes. Its witty all the way and bit of a thriller in the middle. Thanks god for OMG! 4/5 (considering the sad state of bollywood movies today).

I agree on Asin. She can bring only two expressions on her face and seems like she is searching for something without life. Think she acts for free.
