Watched Kaminey last weekend. I liked it a lot but all the ladies of my family hated it. The hall was empty too.

I don't think JG was inspired by any particular JHC book, atleast I couldn't remember one particular JHC book which had this story. But overall, JG borrows stuff from various different JHC books.

Me too watched it last weekend, in a nearly empty hall.

I liked the movie. Its quite different from the regular Bollywood fare. Must appreciate how all the actors did their roles perfectly and absolutely convincingly.

I agree, Shahid Kapoor has done a fabulous job. I liked Amole Gupte's character too "Bhope bhai". Priyanka has a small role in the film , but she has done justice to her marathi mulgi character.
Overall i liked the film. it was good

you are not the first one to say that " i didnt understand the movie only "
Kaminey has to be watched really closely right from the start.even if you get distracted for 5 mins you will loose the entire plot

Quick Gun Murugan

I have never regretted watching a movie in recent times as I have watching this. I went for it expecting some good humour( the channel V ads were really lovable). The entire movie is irritating to the core. There is no plot whatsover with the characters blabbering hindi dialogues in a south Indian accent. Names like Rice Plate Reddy, MBA Rowdy and Mango Dolly(Rambha of all) really dont sound funny. There is Lola Kutty too if you havent had enough of her on [V]. Vinay Pathak, Sandhya Mridul and Ranvir appear in unwanted cameos. The movie appears like a Dosa Cookery Show.

If I should say in Murugan's style : MIND IT AND AVOID IT I SAY!!

Rating: What rating?
