Right ya Wrong
Difficult to review this movie.
Its bases on an english movie called "Above Suspicion".
Overall the story line is taught, interesting and grippy.
But its the execution in first half that mars it.
Infact during the first 30 minutes you wonder is are these guys actors or what.
Dialogues are sloppy and cliched, even irfan khan can barely act, and the less said about the acting skills of Sunny the better.
But after the first half the movie takes a twist, and here is where the real movie starts.
Its grippy, and you keep wondering what will happen next!
Thoroughly entertaining and very watchable.
I would give it a one time watch rating 3/5 stars!

Watched 'Athithi Kab Jaoege', and simply loved Paresh Rawal! A 4 out of 5 for his performance!

I watched " Athithi Tum Kab Jaoge" last night. I agree with your view.
I didnt find the movie funny at all.

Paresh seemed typecasted in that villager type of cameo, he should stop that now as he aint drawing any more water from it. Except for a couple of instances, i was yawning through the movie.

Loved the first aarti pooja. Damn, it didnt strike me till a minute into the song. That for me was the only rib-tickling thing about the movie.

From mid-way the movie veers from comedy to serious storyline.

Ajay and Konkana were just doing there thing. Nothing to praise !

If i hadn't watched, probably i wouldnt have missed much.

2/5

Saw latest "ROKKK" hindi horror yesterday,
I would give it a 4/10..

Movie is a combination of Grudge - I, II & III.
It is a nice (indian) try, sound effects and acting could have been better..

Agree, kurban is indeed an engrossing movie. All the characters have played their role very subtly without any overacting. The religious fanatism and terrorism has been shown well but the movie could have been much more hard hitting rather than just skimming over the subject and portraying it in polished manner. I feel the fanatism has been depicted rather very subtly and could have done with a little crudeness ( an example of good portrayal of dark subjects - satya, company, vaastav, nayakan, ab tak chappan). It need not have been so polished considering the subject that the movie was inteded to portray. The screenplay could have been much better IMO to make a better impact of the characters and the subject.

its 3/4 for me.

My take on such polished potrayal is that terrorists always need not be crude people. Even educated and polished people also get involved in such activities due to their blind beliefs which i am sure is a certain possibility.

I think I am unable to express correctly by what i mean as crude. When i mean crude it doesnt necessarily mean violence , but what I meant is this film just skimmed on the topic of terrorism without really getting a bite into the subject, and without really showing the fanatism and coldness within its characters. . The last part where the MIL decides to take the life of pregnant kareena , now, thats an emphatic part of the story and brings out the fanatism of this character, which the characters of saif and om puri fail to bring. Thats what i meant.
