Man! You will not be forgiven!
No matter what, never will be forgiven.
Even if we manage to forget this, the PUG fans and FiAT fans who may have even done some poojas for your good future and well being of your car, they'll never forgive you.

Get ready to become the target of hate and be careful while you walk past Palios.

Anyway, amazingly made out prank! Even your hardcore friends including me fell into it. :geeeeee:

Aprils fools yes but here are the answers for your query which might help your cousin.

Unless the grinding is done at a milling station your handling at high speeds is going to be severly affected. Keeping it at 98pcd is better and putting in a quadrupulet of good tires with 2 ply sidewalls( I am not talking of tread ply but of sidewall ply). Keep away from single ply sidewalls for Kerala roads especially for the front wheels in the GTX. You may use at your discretion different brand of tires for the front and back. Use the more rigid and grippy tires for the front as at the limit the 1.6 has a tendency to understeer. I need not empahisize that you need tires from the same batch for the front and rear respectively.
As long as you do not take it to the authorized service centers of Cochin your/cousins car will keep running for another 1,20,000km before major major engine work is required that is if the previous owner has changed the timing tensioner pulley and the associated belt at 60,000km though its reccommended to be changed only at 1,20,000km. For the love of your car keep away from the authorized service centers to service your FIAT products. Taking them to Mustang motors or the older MyTVS fellows is a better option. My patient who works at one of the authorized service centers would not allow me to take my GTX there even for changing some thing as mundane as a rear silencer muffler which just requires a lift and removal of one bolt. Such is my patients confidence in his fellow workers. The skoda thing is happening even at FIAT after the TATA's took over the service aspect.
As far as free flow is concerned get the modifications done only aft of the 1st muffler as it is from here that the constriction of the exhaust pipe starts. You may remove the catalytic convertor as by now the catalytic convertor would have given up its ghost and it would only be serving to hinder air flow without in anyway helping the environment. Please note that the 1.6 has '0' valve overlap so a head job is not going to fetch you much gains. I have given the workshop manual in .pdf file to rippergeo from whom you can collect a copy.

Guys! One of my very close relative/friend who happens to be a very strict Fiat FAN cum fanatic, drove in the wee hours this morning to JayD's house to have glimpse of his newly acquired 'TREASURE' and was very disappointed not to have a darshan!
Machoooooo! You're dead. Wait till he sees this thread.

I got phone calls at 2 - 3 am and very odd hours expressing anger, embarrassment, frustration and joy! Man, this should've been "the" prank of the year.

Come this weekend and we'll have a heck of a kill out of this 17 (or is it 14) year old vintage lover!

Very nice prank, JayD! Best April Fool thread ever!

Everything had just the right amount of believability, without going overboard.

You do have a great future in marketing

Nice chop of the car in the driveway, JayZ! Phone cam pic, huh? You have a nice future in "aftermarket" documentation and ID card services

Dude you included me also in this prank!!

Anyway i did not successfully change my alloys to 100pcd.went through great pains, but i still love the car!!

I agree to drpullockaran, do not take the palio to a TATA authorised service-better to let TVS people do the job!
