wow,
everyone of us can get a kick out of their conventional jobs, and make it unconventional.
that seems to be the convention now. hm, where do I fit in.

pretty conventional. doing software maintenance for a MNC client thru my offshoring company. same stuff done by 10000...s of programmers in india. but yes, It's not really boring. all I need to do is bring innovation, and eccentric ideas that i have, and it's no more conventional. :-D

trust me, i wud have done the same in any other industry. it's all in mind, whatever industry you choose.

regd dream job, i wanted to be a scientist for most of my childhood, soldier, district collector, private investigator being others. live my fantasy by reading, analysing facts on physics and biology now.

and hey, i am too young to count how many of my dreams i have lived ;-). my latest fantasy is teaching kids and enjoying nature, just like shankaranand and abhay.

Being an Instrumentation engineer I don't know anything about computer till I finished college. Tried job in my area..nothing worked. Finally decided to learn computers.

Now I am doing software design and architecture in India's most respected IT company. I will be in this job as long as they pay me...lol.

Convetional

Umm..perhaps you guys can comment if this is convetional or otherwise.

Class XII > Merchant Navy Cadetship > Quit after getting command of my own boat > Tech. Director for an ECG Electrode manufacturing Co. (Only one of it's kind in India).

Convetional, I presume so that is what I voted for.

Cheers

What is your profession?

Please choose your profession/occupation. You have multiple please select the main one.

It's private poll - others will not see your choice.

Moderators: please add options if I missed any major one.

Actually, I cannot even see a single poll option. Come to think of it, there used to be a thread which discussed the same!

@sajo

There's a time lag when it appears and options are added. While you saw, I didn't even submit the options!

Mods: I think polls appear in two stages, for poll with several options it probably appears first without any options when user still compiling it!

Maybe this should be a public poll so people know what others are into?

By the way, a similar thread "what do you do?" exists. But it doesn't have a poll.....
