I always cast my vote. Did it today as well. No queue, no wait. The process was quick. What took time though was finding my name in the electors' list. Long mark on left middle finger. I also remember it used to be index finger of left hand. It seems to have changed.

My wife didn't have her name in Goregaon's list. Her name was in Borivali's list as my in-laws live there. She went to Borivali to cast her vote.

Voted an hour back.

Have to wait for an hour. But I am glad for that. Reason is, ALMOST ALL of locality turned up for voting.

There were 78 - 80 people ahead of me in line. And there for 2 - 300 more.

Heartning to see educated people casting vote this time.

Voting is over with the V phase over today.

The Indian general elections of Summer 2009 have completed their 'polling' part with the fifth and last phase of polling coming to an end. Most wait with bated breath for the counting on the 16th. The results are due to be out by mid-afternoon.

Can we have more 'polling' experiences from members here.

Cheers,

The exit polls are being discussed on practically every channel.
The host was going gaga over the exit polls stats.
Some panel member reminded that almost all exit polls proved wrong
in 2004. Well there is not much to say after that.

I voted for the second time in Maharashtra. Very poor turnout of voters this time in Pune.

There were only 2-3 people ahead of me and my wife.

So far I have voted:
Once in Tamil Nadu
Once in Karnataka
Twice in Maharashtra
But never got the chance to cast my vote in my own home state of Kerala

You sound like you made up for the poor turnout with all your votes!

How come you voted so many times? It's not allowed, is it?

Good one

I actually had my name at two places in Pune. Voted at the nearest polling booth. Is there some way to get rid of the ink quickly? It may come in handy next time around.

Went to cast vote but no name in the list...darned...

... Worry not, I still felt a duty and ensured every member in my family got out of their air-conditioned life and be a responsible citizen. I actually had to threaten two of my relatives into voting.

Voted at 11am. Apparently, I was the only person around when I went, so I was welcomed with both hands by the election officials. Was happy to see my name on the list and happier to know that nobody else had voted in my place.

It has been 2 days since but the ink just refuses to disappear.

I went very early in the morning around 7:15 with my family members and voted. There were not many people at that time.
