i have voted for others because i think Nothing can beat Mehmood's, kishore kumar's and sunil dutt's comedy in padosan.

if i have to choose my favourites from the list, they would be hera pheri, jaane bhi do yaaron. andaz apna apna. pushpak, munna bhai mbbs, awara pagal deewana.

Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro... nothing comes close.
I always burst my sides laffing every time i see the scene where Om Puri comes across Satish Shah's dead body near the flyover!
And then... "thoda khao thoda fenko"!
and the last scene... Mahabharat remade! Unforgettable!!

Angoor was another super comic movie.

Sigh... they jus dont make em, like they made em before...

i agree with sid, andaz apna apna was riots of comedy. aamir's dialogue , " balki mein to kahta hu aap to purush hi nahi hai, mahapurush hai, maha purush hai."

omg u should have looked at the faces of the ppl whom the dialogue was addressed to.

further to my earleir messsage.

golmaal is also one hell of the movie. the way amol palekar quotes his "pitaji" everytime he wants to impress utpal dutt.

Golmaal is awesome - heck the whole list is so "FUNNY" cant pick a fav - but

i love

Chotisi Baat- Amol Palekar again at his bumbling best as the nerdy shy character who takes the help of Ashok Kumar ( awesome comic actor ) to turn tables on asrani(one of his best roles)

Baton Baton Mein - Another feel good comic movie ....david being the guy trying to set up his neice's marriage and in walks who else but Amol Palekar ....the scene where amol's amd tina's respective moms meet in the movie hall is a riot !! and tina - she looks damn HOT !!!

Shaukeen - 3 leecherous old men who go for a holiday and try to out do outdo each other by winning rati's attention. Utpal Dutt / Ashok Kumar ? AK Hangal - are riotous !

Chashme Badoor - 3 guys - 2 flirts and 1 studious , the 2 flirts try to patao the girl , on being unsucessful feed tall stories and the girl falls in love with the studious guy ! hilarious to the core

Katha - Classic tale of the hare and the tortise - naseeruddin shah and farouque shaikh excel again !!

Padosan- masterji , bhole and guru will haunt me forever ! what a classic !

im going too much in flash back mode maaan - but yes Awara Paagal Deewana had some of the silliest and nonsensical and corniest jokes i have ever seen. maan i went to watch the movie for its action and came away with my stomach inside out ! paresh rawal / johhnny lever - outstanding stuff !!

Its strange, that only two votes have found their way to Hrishikesh Mukherjee's two greatest comdies ever... Golmaal and Chhupke Chhupke.

My vote goes for the latter. An amazingly funny movie that tickles your funny bone to no end. The Pujya Jijjaji part still is one of the most memorable dialogues from the movie.

Golmaal comes a quick second. The scene where Utpal Dutt is on the stomach toning machine with him singing 'baba' is just too hillarious.

Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron is a classic. Andaaz Apna Apna a total time pass. Strangely both movies flopped at the box-office.

Has to be Andaz Apna Apna... Just seem to enjoy the movie as much as I did the first time I saw it even today.

I like Hera Pheri, Golmaal and Chupke Chupke too.

Also shouldn't be Chalti ka Naam Gaadi included in the list. Something to do with cars. After all we are on team-bhp.

I really don't think so that Andaz Apna Apna flopped at the box-office. It did perform above average and did a silver jubilee in many places.

Its strange to find that Jaane bhi do yaron not leading here . It seems people have not watched the movie, I think only movie to give it a tough competition is Chupke Chupke.

I am very surprised myself. I dont think Andaaz apna apna stands anywhere to JBDY...
BUT... its all about personal opinion... at least for me, JBDY stands out.
