awesome pics, guys... here are a few pics of my Bolero GLX (Dec 03, 96 K kms) on its way from Bangalore to Calcutta (2007).

seems we crossed the Palamner ghats already... | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Bolero parked | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

from here, the road to Bangalore is kinda smooth | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Now it is 7 years old with 96 K kms on the odo (the Pirelli Scorpion ATs have done 50 K kms and still have a LOT of life left in them).

The only mods I had done till now were to get the wheels painted white (a la old Land Rover Defenders with stock rims) and change to HSRP regn plates.

Now I have cut the wheel arches shorter, am getting rid of the side steps and rear step (will replace with black powder-coated bars). Got nice black/red interiors made and am keeping this car for another five years or so. Will upload the latest pics once I do it up fully.

About UV/SUV, who cares as long as it takes the Shiradi Ghats and the Londa/Ponda route in its stride without flinching? I have done Bangalore-Calcutta, Bangalore-Goa some three times, keep going to Malpe/Mangalore, Ooty, Coorg, etc. without any issues. Am planning rajasthan and leh in the next couple of years and that's the level of confidence this beast has inspired in me. However, am curious about Josepeter's Billstein drivetrains and am reading about all the discussion about alloys... thinking, thinking .

IMO, a Bolero is a lifetime vehicle. You may buy other cars and sell them to upgrade to better cars, but this sticks with you. --

Hi all

I am a newbie here. Attatching pictures of my Bolero. Just some cosmetic mods done so far, the usual stuff. Plan to put in some hellas and fender flares soon.

Cheers,

A very warm welcome to T-Bhp.
Very nice looking Bolero. The mods have been very tastefully done. Love the alloys and the fender extensions.

Thank's Rajesh. Feels great to read replies to my first post on Team BHP. The fender extensions were done by my Local TVS dealer due to the mud splashing problem i had.

A little modification brought a great deal of difference to my B O L E R O. New shoes from my favorite brand Bridgestone, I was surprised to find there is a vast difference in handling, drive quality and smoothness after having the tubeless tyres and the alloys. Planning to do some more modifications soon.

Your Bolero looks punchy and beautiful. IMO, Mahindra spoiled the looks of the Bolero by coming out with the so called facelifts. This classic shape still looks the best especially with those hot tires and alloys.

Well said Arvi, in fact I am with your opinion, the new bolero head lamps have killed the looks. I waited more than 6 months for this type of vehicle and got it now. I've seen nearly 25 bolero till I got this vehicle, I am glad to have this one owner 2004 model, it's still hasn't seen any roads. Thanks for your encouragement.

Re: All T-BHP Bolero Owners with Pics of their SUV

The alloys and tyres have transformed the Bolero. Sweet!
Damn, I miss mine.
Chanu, all you need now is a pair of Hellas upfront.

Its an LX or a GLX?
The bunny tooth grill and the headlights killed the good looks of the Bolero. The new Bolero looks still worse.
