T-20 World Cup - Winner ?

Starting 5th June - India will try and defend it's T-20 Champions tag that we won in 2007.

Will we do it ?

I have submitted the poll that ends with the league matches -

So no one can vote after the 2nd round has begun.

I know India is strong contender but I feel NZL can take the cake.

They are very strong and balanced T20 side.

I would say its gonna be Team India. The men in blue are the defending champions and they're going to be T20 World cup 2K9 champs as well.

More than NZ, I guess SAF has a great chance. Most of their players did play well.. esp AB and JP Duminy.

I feel this time around it will be very close fought T20 WC. On a given day anything can happen, any team can win or loose.

Though India looks in a good shape to defend it with Sehwag, Gambhir, Raina, Yuvraj, R Sharma, Y Pathan and Dhoni.

But watch out for Aussies, SAF and SL.

PAKIS... damn... but they did well against Aussies and were the other finalists in the previous edition.

We sure hope that we can do it, other strong contenders would be SA and NZ, don't think Australia have much of a chance but having said that, this is T20, almost anything can happen on the given day !

i feel the indian team has played 2 much of cricket. most of the guys looked tired towards the end of IPL. I guess australia will have a good chance.

IMO, India is going to lose this one. I don't see them even reaching the finals this time.

If I have to put my money on one team, it will be South Africa.

We still have the best side for T20, but I fear that our players might be jaded after 14 quick games on the trot. Emotional as well as physical drain. Australia/NZ/SA have kept their sides fresh.

IMO S.Africa has more chances.

Though India is not far behind.

Love to see Australia's down fall in recent years.

I second John, the indian players will be a tired lot and will find it very difficult.
I would absolutely love to see them defend it successfully.

Watch out for the Africans, they would be the team to beat!

India although seems good on paper, the form/fitness of key players looks suspect(sehwag/gambhir/zaheer) however, there are some in great touch as well (raina/rohit sharma/rp singh/ishant)

Lets see how they unfold.

India is good enough to defend its title and they can do it only if Dhoni doesn't promote himself and not let players like Raina,Yuvi,Rohit,Yusuf play the most of overs after openers.
Batting order should be Sehwag,Gautam,Yusuf,Yuvi,Raina,Rohit and Dhoni.
