Shot this long back for incredible luminous brightness. Paid 14k and as one can see, it is 5 series.

Just got this one off Ethos in Hyderabad - what I found personally appealing is the clean classic looks and that it works for me as a dress watch.

re: Which watch do you own?

Not to resurrect an old thread, but could not help it. Strapped my wrist with a HMT NASS 13 BD. I was surprised that being an automatic dependent largely on wrist movements, it still gives an accurate time to the second. And this has been since 8 months of its purchase.

What a classy watch! Love it's clean and uncluttered looks. If you don't mind, could you share the price?

Cheers,
Vikram

re: Which watch do you own?

I have a chinese mechanical skeleton watch, and it looked beautiful. But accidently it fell (the cheap strap unglued itself from the watch) and since then it has stopped working. Is there anyone in Pune who can repair the watch?

Hi Mobike008. The watch costed me 15,500 . Original price is 16,500 but got a discount of 1K when i asked them for a quote through Ethos website.

The same model but different color(Black with gold) is available in watchkart for 14900. But since i wanted the blue dial had to buy it from the store.

Best thing about this is like all seiko the Luminisence is awesome! Blows away the compitition to dust!

re: Which watch do you own?

This is my dad's mechanical watch from 1991. I remember going as a teenager with my dad to purchase it. I was always inclined towards those Casio digital watches with vinyl straps in those days, but my dad would not listen. IIRC, he purchased it for Rs. 685

My dad used to wear it daily till his last day. I found it under his pillow on the day he passed away. Coincidentally, the watch had stopped working too.

Got it serviced and runs like a charm. It is currently losing about 5 secs in a day which is a fantastic accuracy.
