Please refer my previous post. There are several variants of the Pilot made by HMT. The one you've posted is their current model and the most popular one. Others may be made on request, if there are sufficient orders for them.

Absolutely! I got mine from TE's ongoing group order (Link). These were custom made by HMT on a made-to-order basis. We did an interest check, collected some 200+ orders, transferred the amount (Rs. 1250 per watch) and Mano Sir requested HMT's Chennai branch to place the order at their plant. It appears that their plant is going through a major power crisis and as a result, the manufacturing happens pretty slowly. The first batch order was placed during August-end and I received mine last weekend so you could get an estimate of the delay.

But all said and done, the wait was completely worth it. I am not a big fan of these NATO straps. Leather suits me just fine.

The Pilot in white looks magnificent.
I wish i had known about this TE post earlier, i would have surely ordered one.

Is there a way that i can get one now ?
Are there any chances of getting a white Pilot these over the counter from HTM exclusive shops ?

The white dials are a hybrid from another model, the name of which I forget now.

The black dial is the oldest HMT Pilot, dating back decades. I bought mine four years ago. It is non-functional now due to a broken main spring.

HMTs have some tradition, they are dirt cheap and all that, but they are also poorly made specimens. I bought an ADSL automatic too for Rs 3000.00 and the damn thing shows condensation inside the dial under certain climates.

I bought a clutch of HMT watches at that time and sent them to an enthusiast at Grand Cayman isles! I only hope they are ok and did not make me a laughing stock..

I have never seen watch winders on sale anywhere in India. Not even in the biggest watch showrooms in my city. Buying online may be the only way.
